Chuck Wicks performed for 21/2hrs and did a meet and greet!! He performed his hits, some covers, mixed in some new reditions like "billionaire". He sounded great! He interacted with the crowd and signed many autographs for fans. He also did an encore.
I was VERY disappointed with 8 second salon and Chris Wicks. We got there at 8:00 watched the pre-concert show at about 9:00 instead of the 8:30 it was supposed to be. At 11:30 we finally WITHOUT seeing Chris Wicks. When we left he still was not there. I don't know what time or if he was supposed to start. I think he was not going to show up because all night they kept telling us to keep our ticket stubs for that night and they will be good to let is in the door for that Saturday night and this coming Saturday night. This is my second time to go to 8 second salon loved the first time and had a wonder ful time, but this time was a bomb. Had fun watching everyone, but really wanted to see Chris Wicks. Went for a concert and would have really loved to see that concert. Sorry 8 second might not be back.
The place is great, a bit smoky, but close seating and great sound. Chuck did an awesome job and got a meet and greet after the show with photos. NICE. What a nice looking man too. ;)
First of all, I've seen him 2 other times, this time he didn't play as many of his own songs off his first album - that is very disappointing. Secondly, 8 Second Saloon is still a SMOKING bar, so that really detracts from the scenario. It's very disappointing that they haven't gotten with the program to go non-smoking. Overall, it was nice to see Chuck but in a better setting and with more of his own songs.
One of the best concerts I have been to all year and I go to a lot of them. Chuck has a great voice and the band really gets into the songs.
The venue was one of the best ones that I have seen Chuck at in the last three years. The atmosphere was great and the staff was helpful and very nice. The opening act, Corey Cox, was a great guy and I hope to hear more from him soon. As always, I'd recommend you go see Chuck Wicks, but now I'd also suggest keeping an eye on this venue for more of your favorite stars!
Granted my tickets were so close that I rested my elbow on the stage, but I think everyone at the 8 Seconds Saloon enjoyed the show! My only complaint is that the chairs are very uncomfortable and close together up near the stage. My back was to the microphone so I had to turn my chair around in order to see. Also, my first chair had a nail sticking out of it and my sister's chair actually broke halfway through the show. Other than seating problems, I REALLY enjoyed the show! Chuck is very personable and talked and joked with the audience. He did his own songs as well as covers of other songs. He was on stage for almost an hour and 15 minutes including the 3-song encore. Then he stayed in the bar and met his fans. He signed autographs and took pictures with every single fan that stood in line. What a great guy!
Chuck Wicks was great he has very good songs and he was super nice!!!! Also Corey Cox which was the opening act was very good!!! Also loved Eight Seconds had never been there before now I will start going to concerts there more often!!! Best country show I have been to!!! I have been to Kenny Chesney a few times and loved it but I think Chuck is on his way of over taken Kenny in Concerts and being number one in the next few years!!!
I certainly hope that Chuck Wicks comes back to 8 Seconds! He is an amazing singer, songwriter, and performer! Great music and energy!
Great show and Joe's is a great venue to watch concerts at, very intimate!
