About

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Christian Kuria first attracted internet
attention in 2016 as a Hip Hop and R&B guitarist. Soon after, he began to incorporate his
guitar playing into fully-produced covers. This led Kuria towards composing and producing his
own original music.
In late 2019, Christian made his US touring debut as support for the critically acclaimed writer,
producer, and singer, Cautious Clay. After tour, Christian released his freshman album
‘Borderline’. Following the release of Borderline, Kuria went on to release singles ‘Toroka’ and
‘23rd Street’ which received critical acclaim from MTV, Beats1, OkayAfrica, and more....
Christian has also collaborated with a handful of artists such as Alex Isley, Jack Dine, Braxton
Cook, Thuy, Fiji Blue (Val Fritz), among others.

One of my favorite nights of all time!

by MissE on 4/22/24Vinyl - Atlanta

I wish I could commit the entirety of this concert to memory because it was THAT good. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Christian Kuria live and the crowd had an amazing vibe. Intimate venues allow music lovers to feel connected to the artist in a way that a larger venue or stadium could never emulate. So grateful for Christian Kuria’s passion and creativity in his music.

    WOW. Phenomenal show.

by Camoora on 4/8/24Bowery Ballroom - New York

Unbelievable. Exceeded my concert expectations. I genuinely am already anticipating for his next concert in my area. His voice was amazing, identical to his music, he was fun and interactive with the crowd. The venue was great; small but made it more intimate.

    Underrated Artit

by Muse1 on 4/18/23Mercury Lounge - New York

Christian Kurias concert was underrated! For all who had a chance to experience him live, were certainly blessed. Kuria and his band mates were simply outstanding. I hope they visit the east coast again. As for the opening "act", however, it robbed us all but 10 precious minutes of our lives. The "comedian", unmentionable name, bobmed his act from beginning to end. It was a pitifully display of a so-called comedy act, and for a crowd like NY, they were certainly kind and lacked to boo'ed him off the stage. Please seek and vet, most importantly, a better comedian before they go on stage.

    Refreshing Talent

    by Adriana on 7/12/22

My husband and I discovered Christian Kuria on Spotify when he came up as a suggestion on Daniel Caesar radio. The first song we heard was Too Good (which truly is too good of a song). We were intrigued and started looking for more of his music. We found out Christian had a show coming up in Los Angeles, so we had to go. I must say this was one of the best live performances I've ever seen at a smaller venue. Christian truly kills it as both a singer, and as a genuine musician. If you have love and respect real guitar players - you will absolutely love watching Christian Kuria and his band play. Truly great songwriting, and musicianship. I'm certain the next time I see him live, its gonna be a lot more expensive! He has rare talent!
