Anna Solomon, the multi-instrumentalist and songwriter behind Chateau Fiasco, was always moving growing up, whether between schools and states, or just pacing around the room. This unsettled quality comes through in all her work, whether solo, co-fronting the indie rock quartet It Takes Dedication, or backing up acts like Such A Pretty Face and Scarlett Taylor. Her songs either sprawl out with the sounds of folk and prog or constrict themselves into claustrophobic noise and raw emo, and her distinctive guitar playing shines through in any ensemble or context.
