If you like Elton John you will live this tribute band! Michael Troy performs many of the Elton/Bernie classics and a few deep cuts! The band is very talented too! Crowds of people dancing and a great upbeat vibe. I had soooo much fun at this show, it was hard to wind down to go to sleep later that night.
Wow! An Elton John tribute where the guy sits and performs at the piano...JUST LIKE ELTON JOHN...imagine that! LOL SMH What are people thinking? Is he supposed to run around the stage or play and sing Elton John songs at the piano! We enjoyed this show very much as did the vast majority of the packed house who sang along and clapped and cheered for an encore (they did a 2 song encore). The different costumes were great (especially the "ELTON" glasses) and the special effects piano was awesome!
We had a group of 8 and we really loved this concert! Don't understand the negative reviews because this show was top notch! The singer sounded exactly like Elton John and had a bunch of different costumes and glasses including a chicken costume at the end of the show! It was a riot! The best part was his piano which was covered in mirrors and shot out fog and lights and lasers. The backing band was good too, but all eyes and ears were focused on Elton. Basically all the greatest hits including my favorite "Tiny Dancer". This was a very nice venue as well and we had great seats!
Not one of the better shows here. Would have been just as good to fire up a greatest hits CD of Elton John at home. Captain Fantastic would have done better to be on a slowly rotating pedestal to let everyone see him perform if he was going to stay seated. Ended up leaving before show was over.
We have friends who saw this show at the Hard Rock in Biloxi last year and LOVED it! Said they barely got tickets because it sold out, so we made sure to get tickets early and catch this show at Wheeling Island. Glad we did because I think this show sold out too. Only a couple hour drive for us. Music, singer, costumes, band were all great! The piano the guy had was amazing! The lid lifted up electronically during "Rocketman" and there was fog and laser lights coming out of it! REALLY cool! So much better than some we've seen using just a keyboard on a stand. They even did "Empty Garden" which is one of my favorites and not a song you hear very often. Would definitely go see it again...HIGHLY recommended! Also, they did a 2 song encore which was great!
WOW! What an amazing show! Absolutely LOVED it! Awesome costumes, mirror piano with smoke and lights, and the band was great too. "Elton" was spot on...sounded EXACTLY like him! The place was packed...guessing they sold out! And they even did a 2 song encore ending with "Levon"!
It was a GREAT SHOW! I I would recommend this show and already have recommended to my friends.
I am a huge Elton John fan and have been to many of his concerts. This was a very disappointing expensive evening. This is not a headliner show. This is one you would expect to play in a bar with no cover charge. There was no stage presence whatsoever. Have a interesting background or more things happening on stage. Guitar player was a great musician but lacked stage energy you expect. The lady drummer was awesome and tried her best at what she was given to work with. I suggest she goes solo and impersonate heart or Stevie nicks.
I didn't expect Elton, but I did expect live music. Somewhat entertaining, but much of it was prerecorded--all the bass, much of the backup vocals, all of the keyboard-simulated brass, even some of the percussion.
