Great venue, welcoming staff and outstanding performance

by Michael on 11/13/23Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Great venue, welcoming staff and outstanding performance. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The artists also seemed to appreciate the wonderful hospitality and commented on the good ‘vibe’ at the Neptune - and they put on a fabulous show. Overall - a peak experience!

    Best concert in a while!

by Mehldau Fan on 11/12/23Neptune Theatre - Seattle

This was a most excellent concert! I missed Mehldau’s concerts for several years due to Covid getting his concert cancelled or postponed several times in Seattle. I was happy to see the trio configuration as they are so very well tuned-in to each other’s playing. I am amazed how they can keep time perfectly as they do their solo sections, especially Mehldau, who loves to go off into his own space and time but then smoothly land back magically into the groove! The acoustics in the Neptune Theater was fabulous and made the concert even more memorable. The notes reverberated brilliantly against the high ceilings, filling the space with some crisp sounds from the softest to the loudest instrument played. Mehldau’s playing as usual was impeccable. He kept my attention glued to every note he played all the while amazed at how he uses his left and right hand so independently coordinated. I think he is truly the best jazz pianist of this era!

Still Crazy After All These Years

by Matt on 11/12/23Neptune Theatre - Seattle

I’ve seen Brad Mehldau several times, and he’s always absolutely incredible. For a jazz trio to be playing a large theater in Seattle you know it’s something special. He played a really long set and played a bunch of new songs along with several older cuts. Don’t miss Mehldau!

Brad was great, sound and trio could have been better.

by Charlie on 11/12/23Neptune Theatre - Seattle

Love Brad Mehldau. The sound from the balcony at Seattle's Neptune Theater performance was not great. The piano could have been louder, the bass was muddy and unfocused, and the drummer had an off night, made worse by what looked like a large 8"deep metal secondary snare drum he employed at times that didn't seem to fit his sound or the performance. I wish Brad had played a couple of solo piano pieces and the concert had been longer. Things never really seemed to cook.
