From the opening to the end - an absolutely lovely program! As always the Balanchine with the full ensemble was wonderful. Not surprisingly, the Joplin dance was bright and lively, feisty! Perhaps my favorite was Exile's Jig, for me it was an unusually emotional, I absolutely loved it!
This wrap-up for the 2022-23 Ballet Tucson season was brilliant! It started with a very traditional Balanchine choreography, and then made our heads spin with a very jazzy piece, and wound us down the dance path from there. The breadth of dance styles/genres spoke volumes about the talent that now comprises Ballet Tucson. The dancers' energy was through the roof, and the choreography took my breath away. This was one of the best Ballet Tucson performances we have ever seen.
