Great music let down by bad venue

by E. H. on 6/25/19Buckhead Theatre presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

I love ATL Collective and know how good they are. Buckhead Theater is a terrible venue for this group, and let them down on this occasion; the back half of the audience can hear conversations happening at the bar over the sound of the music and voices. It’s just a bad setup. Also, Prisca’s mic wasn’t doing her justice, and she had the best parts of her songs. Please, ATL Collective, pick another venue next time!!!

Pretty rough around the edges with bright spots.

by Chipinmyhead on 6/25/19Buckhead Theatre presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

We were pretty disappointed with the ATL Collective performance we saw. They did Queen's "A Night at the Opera" and the main issue was vocals. But it's queen...vocals are important. One bright spot was the performance of Roman GianArthur. He wasn't spectacular, but he's clearly very talented and was spectacular in comparison to the other vocalists. The show was pretty rough overall and made me decide to skip the REM performance coming up.

    Awful acoustics!

by NewtonZapple on 10/8/18Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I was really looking forward to Synchronicity but had to leave after the third song. Couldn’t hear the vocalists at all over the instruments - really need to work on the vocal/instrument mix. Perhaps because we were in the balcony? It may have been better down below

first time hearing beloved Tom since he passed.

    by Tompettyfan54 on 7/2/18Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Loved it all except Lucy and friend. Would have enjoyed a different opening act because all the other performers were outstanding. Dee and husband and all of them. Sorry I didn’t know about this venue and collective before and now I’m moving out of state. Organized well and really enjoyed it.

Where was the Tom Petty Music?

by njbrosfan on 7/2/18Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Local start up bands. Loud and hard to understand vocals. Long way to go. Nothing more to say

    Great production!

by MajesticLodge on 4/3/18Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Great effort by all. Prince’s “Sign O the Times” is my favorite album of all time, so hearing it performed front to back wasn’t going to disappoint. I enjoyed some performances more than others and came away a huge fan of Kipper Jones, Rahbi and Khari Cabral Simmons. Favorite performances: Housequake, Slow Love, Hot Thing, If I Was Your Girlfriend, medley during It’s Gonna Be A Beautiful Night, and (of course Dionne Farris singing) Adore.

OMG! Atlanta Collective Partied Like It Was 1999!

by Narivj on 4/3/18Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I felt like I was transported back to the 1990's and partied to the wonderful music of Prince Rogers Nelson! The Atlanta Collective brought REAL MUSICIANSHIP to the legacy of Prince. I can't wait until they perform another show celebrating what music and live entertainment is supposed to be about! Kudos!

Fantastic show! ATL Collective is a must see.

by KSMLS on 4/3/18Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I so enjoyed ATL Collectives expression of Prince’s Sign of the Times album. Everyone’s performance was fantastic! I saw them do Sade and this was just as spectacular and on point with the Artist. I vote for the Under the Cherry Moon soundtrack next!
