Bloc Party Tickets

They only played a few of the songs from Silent Alarm and most of the songs they played were obscure tracks, not greatest hits. That on top of 2 openers made for a very long Tuesday evening that made me question if it was worth the cost, travel time, and the wait.

Bloc Party and supporting bands put on a fun and energetic show! That fog machine was pumping unreal amounts of fog and the lighting effects and mix matched well for the space. The policies at Mod though are something else. I’m one of many folks who are getting their Real IDs due to the mandate for flying and being denied to buy a $16 dollar beer becuase I had a temporary paper ID was flat out lame. I then proceeded to purchase a $2 bottle of water for $6 bucks and walked over to go downstairs to the floor, only to be told I had to dump the bottle of water I just purchased 25 ft from there into a plastic cup. I will avoid attending events at the Moda unless it’s a must see act. Their policies and pricing are just terrible.

Amazing show! The energy they gave throughout the entire show. The lights were awesome. Love them so much!!!

The venue was fine. The prices for things are always stupid expensive. The real disappointment was Bloc Party leaving out 4 songs from “Silent Alarm.” The tour was billed as Bloc Party playing “Silent Alarm” in full. It was also my least favorite style full album performances. I like getting the full album first followed by other songs/hits. Instead they bounced around from Silent Alarm songs to other songs from their career. While I enjoyed the music, it just didn’t live up to my pre-show expectations.

They were amazing! Such a stunning band… just an fyi the headliner family dinner was awful, blonde redhead a bit boring. But would still be ok to listen to blonde redhead if we didn’t have to listen and watch family dinner. So terrible, felt like bad karaoke. Anyways Bloc Party made up for it tremendously! Amazing band so glad I got to see them in person! Spectacular!

Even 20 years later, still an amazing show. I would highly recommending catching this show. Album still holds up today.

Subtracting a star because they did not play Silent Alarm in entirety, but awesome time!

Overall fantastic show. Great stage presence and sounded shockingly similar to themselves 20 years earlier. New drummer from the original lineup, but sounded incredibly solid. Planning to see them again!!

I bought tickets to see Metric but was pleasantly surprised by Bloc Party. Thet are much better live than recorded and I would definitely see them again.

Bloc Party crushed it. Festival vibes on a beautiful Chicago night despite early rain. Need to see them again asap.
