We truly enjoyed the Tex Beneke Band tribute to the Glen Miller Band. It was such wonderful fun to hear that beautiful music played so well. They really cooked at times! The Lindy Sisters were great and the tribute to the Mills Brothers by Don's son and Elmer Hopper, of The Platters, was fantastic. Please bring them back!!
A lively and lovely trip down Memory Lane, and a chance to see some living Big Band, Swing, and Doo-Wop legends. They did not perform Kalamazoo, but all the other expected Glenn Miller, Mills Brothers, and Platters tunes were. The Bob Hope Theater was an intimate venue. If there had been room for dancing, the event would have been complete.
