Great show! Amazing talent. Loved just Rufus and his piano, guitar and voice. Bigger fan than before!
I was thrilled to hear Mr. Wainwrights beautiful voice! I saw him several times on TV and I started watching him on YouTube but that did not compare to hearing him in person. I was brought to tears at times! He has a real gift! I hope to see him again!. Such a talented man! Thank you Rufus! A devoted fan!
Loved it. Always an amazing show! Nearly two hours of awesome music.
Rufus Wainwright is Mesmerizing to watch on stage. I don’t know what it is but his voice is hypnotic!
Outstanding concert! Rufus played songs going back to his first album. Great variety of tunes. His voice sounds spectacular! Loved that it was just Rufus with is piano and guitar--pure beauty. Very moving.
I beg to differ. Although I love most of his music, I follow him for the whole package. I have no problem with hearing about his politics - I agree with him. We are living in a time when our rights and freedoms are being challenged daily, and if we’re not aware of this, we’re not paying attention. As a gay man, Rufus is particularly vulnerable, and so, speaks out. We need to be listening.
First, My husband and I are BIG fans of Bergen PAC. We love the small venue, the employees and the fact that it is a small venue where the sound and visibility is good. Now to the concert, Rufus was terrific. I love when WFUV playsRufus Wainright, however, I had not idea he would be so fabulous in concert. His piano playing was AMAZING! He is very entertaining to watch and listen to, even when he is not singing. I will definitely see him again!
Lucy Wainwright Roche was the opener and she was wonderfully weird. Rufus came on and I hadn't realized that he was playing a solo show. He was amazing from the beginning to the end. He played a lot of songs I never heard before and they were amazing. His voice is so clear and crisp. It was a privilege to see him play live.
First concert I attend with Rufus.....amazing! didn't know much about him but his passion, brilliance and sensibility is reflected in his music. Love it!!!!
I am a big fan and have seen Rufus perform several times but I felt like he just ‘phoned in’ his performance. Very little banter between songs and not really much variety. I thought his sister, Lucy Wainwright Roche was much more compelling and her harmonies were gorgeous. I’d go see her again.
Incredible performance just love the uniqueness of him and his style and his voice
Rufus was impressive and sound at venue was great.
Rufus never fails to deliver. My partner and I went to Cuba for his concert trip and we couldn’t wait to see him again. He is just so captivating and his voice was superb.
As a huge Rufus fan, this man just get better and better.
Truly wonderful show by Lucy and Rufus. Lucy was quirky and gave us some of her beautiful songs. Rufus was electric, giving us his range of emotion and voice in a super selection of his work. The Rufus and Lucy duets on “”Who Knows Where the Time Goes” and “Hallelujah” were stunning. Thank you!!
This concert was one of the best I've attended recently, and certainly very likely the best I have seen at Symphony Hall. Rufus Wainwright has an amazing voice, and his teaming up the Atlanta Symphony was very well done.
amazing show, his voice worked perfectly with the acoustics
This was my fourth time to see Rufus and undoubtedly his best. I love the arrangements with the symphony, and his solo piano songs were amazing too! What a great night!!
Rufus was amazing. His unique voice and style is soothing to my soul. The Atlanta Symphony was stellar as always. Great evening. Would love to hear him in person again.
Rufus is so talented and self-effacing, he just blows me away! He was funny too and made the entire symphony hall feel like we’d just wrapped an intimate dinner party and had gathered around him, the piano and a full orchestra for some after dinner entertainment. He’s an amazing vocalist among so much of his other talents that I’ll never pass up a chance to see him live in the future. Highest recommendation for some magical music!
