Bright Eyes!!!
White Oak Music Hall - Downstairs - Houston
The venue was great. Thoroughly enjoyed the opening acts, and with the exception of a group of overly inebriated people next to us (that security eventually took care of) the main event was amazing! I traveled from Ft. Worth to see them, and it was so worth it!

Rode to Pain
Aztec Theatre - San Antonio
An old fan, I was excited for the show. The music was wonderful and the crowd was actually quite engaged. As I said, I enjoyed the music but Conor showed up inebriated and continued to drink through out the show. Slurring and rambling his stage presence was second rate and a great detraction from a solid body of work on offer. The behavior was so uncontrolled that when Rode to Joy was played for the final encore Conor naturally descended to the cliché-ish tortured rock star, shredding and destroying the stage. Unfortunately, he went to the piano and kicked it over causing it to domino into the mike stand that Nate Walcott was playing his trumpet into. The mike slammed into the trumpet and knocked Nate back. He crawled across the stage probably with his front teeth knocked out. He finished the song at the back of the stage in pain on his knees while stage hands held a towel to his face. Conor's drunken antics were... sad.

Chaotic Show
Aztec Theatre - San Antonio
The songs were good, but Conor did so much rambling between songs the show was kind of painful to watch. And he kicked the keyboard stand that caused Nathan to get hit in the mouth with his own trumpet, that was a terrible way to end the show. It looked like Conor didn't notice, and the rest of the band definitely looked very uncomfortable. I definitely will not make an effort to see Bright Eyes again.

Great, but dude was sloshed
Rose Music Hall - Columbia
The performances were great, and opener Maya Hawke was a fantastic surprise. She has an amazing voice and I look forward to hearing what she does next. Bright Eyes put on a hell of a show, but the lead singer was three sheets to the wind, and was close to undecipherable when he spoke. Still, great music on a great night!

Keep touring, please
I've seen them three times in the last 14 months and I love them with all my heart. Bloomington, IL in November was probably their best show. As long as they keep touring, I will showing up and demanding Waste of Paint.
