November 16, 2019- Boca Raton, Florida
I've been a fan of Denny Laine's since the mid-1970's. Even though the tickets weren't offered on Ticketmaster, I did go watch this show which was at The Funky Biscuit venue/club in Boca Raton, Florida. He was entertaining at this show and, along with the bass player and drums who rounded out his trio for this event, they performed for a good value show of a little over 2 hours. I've always wanted to see Denny perform live. He's certainly still musically up to the task, a great guitarist, and entertains with introductions and stories between the songs about them. As a trio this little band was effortlessly tight and rocked the house, effectively carrying out the energy of songs like Time to Hide and Band on the Run. The only thing lacking is his singing voice which, not to be unkind/ sorry to say, is not as good as it used to be. But the guy is a living legend with a long musical career and solid blues and rock pedigree, and still out there doing shows occasionally. If you loved him with The Moody Blues, Paul McCartney and Wings, and/or his subsequent solo career, it's worth it to pay homage and see him perform live at least once.

The band sounded great and put on a good performance. Really enjoyed hearing all my favorite songs from the “Band on the Run” album.

So much more that I expected

Denny Laine is a Music Icon. How lucky we were to hear them in such a intimate venue. I wish they had better advertising so more people would have filled the room I almost felt selfish, but I would go see them again. All the members were so talented!

Denny Laine Show at the Culture Room Ft Lauderdale
Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale
Denny Laine is Rock Royalty. He's a founding member of the Moody Blues and Paul McCartney and Wings. His show is nonstop excitement! One of the most versatile guitar players I have ever seen, and I am a guitar player so I know. He slides from blues, to rockabilly, to jazz to Rock n Roll with ease and aplomb. His voice is strong and could easily be confused for McCartney. His band members were the Cryers, and they quite simply put, are aficionados at their instruments. I will never miss an opportunity to see Danny Laine live!

Sadly both the setlist and the Denny Laine's voice are weak.

Amazing to see an original Wings member perform one of their greatest albums. Denny was nice enough to meet everyone after, and it was a fantastic intimate setting with a classic (and class!) act.

Amazing Night Of Music and Fun!
McCabe's Guitars - Santa Monica
Denny Laine and band played a great set of music that consisted of the entire Band On The Run LP with a second set of songs that included solo, covers and Wings past songs. Lawarance Juber sat in on guitar at the end which was awesome! The band that Laine had backing him are all great musicians in their own right, keys, guitar, lead guitar, slide guitar, acoustic guitar with all members singing lead or backing vocals.Opening band had members of The Bangles and The Records this set was also awesome! You can't miss a show like this as it was performed in a 150 seat room at a music store in Santa Monica McCabe's Guitars. Also the MC for the show from McCabe's was great as well. All in all we had quite a wonderful time! I recommend seeing and hearing this band and as a service to all fans and music lovers I give a 100 percent acurate view as I am a 40 year musician and did not like what review I saw about Denny that was online. This show is awesome and if you dig The Beatles or Paul McCartney Wings era and go see and hear a original band member that played and wrote with Paul 1971 - 1981 playing the songs that you have loved all your life. Oh and Denny does have a few funny stories that he discussed at times and the bass player is a crack up as well. Peace. Ray Spitzer L.B. Ca. 1/13/14
