    Thank you, Pat Boone

by Stemik on 2/23/12The Mahaffey - St Petersburg

What a great show. And what a trooper Pat Boone was. Even coming from a bad flu, he still gave 100% to entertain his audience. We had a great time.

    Sick

by GWNo on 2/23/12The Mahaffey - St Petersburg

We went to hear Pat's voice, but didn't hear it. He was very sick and sounded bad. Show should have been postponed. Theater and Pat got something(money) for nothing. We got nothing for something.

    A great show

    by Catnanny on 9/17/11Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Pat Boone was as good as I hoped he would be. But I gotta tell you, The Diamonds warm up act was fantastic. I'll go see them any time.

    What a showman!

    by sueannherself on 9/17/11Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

The warm up act, The Diamonds, was perfect for this stroll down Memory Lane. They rocked! When Pat Boone, resplendent in all white, came on stage, the audience gave a true American musical icon his due. He opened with his first #1 hit, "Ain't That a Shame." Rockin' good! Pat proved that being 77 is just a number for him, as he turned back the clock with "Bernadine," "April Love," "Don't Forbid Me," "Almost Lost My Mind," and "Moody River." The White Bucks kid followed up with his number one and number two biggest hits, "Love Letters in the Sand" with some fun audience participation, and "Speedy Gonzalez." The latter's rating was a big surprise to me, as April Love seemed like it was surely Number Two for Pat. Then it was time for some good ole gospel music with Neil Diamond's "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show" and Pat's "Wonderful Time Up There." Pat sang his heart out and the audience was on its feet. Wow! After the audience cheered Mr. Boone back on the stage, he acquiesced to a request for my personal favorite, "Friendly Persuasion" which was just as hauntingly beautiful as when he first recorded it back in 1956. The finale was a partriotic song written by the night's shining star entitled "Under God" which was written in response to the movement to remove this phrase from the pledge of allegiance. Foks were on their feet, cheering, as Pat sang. What a night!

    Sing More, Talk Less

by NoPatOnBack on 4/5/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

We came to hear Pat's old favorite songs and instead, were treated with many old video clips and recorded sound tracks. While Pat looks great for his age, a few songs he managed to sing left a lot to be desired. Maybe we should've lowered our expectations.

It was very interesting and informative. My husband and i would have liked to hear Pat Boone sing more than he did.

    Pat Boone

by perrys1 on 3/29/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

We enjoyed watching the videos and photos and the " live" singing, we were wishing for more of the "live" singing. I believe Mr. Boone only sang 4 or maybe 5 songs and it would have been wonderful if there were more.

    Disappointed

by Nana3145 on 3/29/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

We were hoping to hear at least a few of his biggest hits such as April Love, Love Letters in the Sand, or even Moody River, sung live.

    Not A Concert

by MyTeenIdol on 3/29/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Pat Boone was my teenage idol and I had every record (still do). I saw him perform about five years ago and he looked great and sang many of his hits and told a few stories. It was great fun and what a thrill to finally see him in person! This time however, it was a totally new "concert" - and he said it was the first time he was performing this one in front of an audience. There was a large screen on the stage and we watched a 7 or 8 minute video intro before he finally came on stage. He looked great and he then sang a song that I didn't recognize - at about two octives lower than his normal range. He then proceeded to "chat" with the audience while showing more video clips of his life - his high points and his embarrassing moments, and then a Q&A session. While I found this all to be entertaining, it was NOT a concert -- it was an informative lecture presentation.

    boone really sucked

by bobfishr56 on 3/29/11Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

show was very disappointing. altho he sang my favorite song, April Love, everything else was pat boon, tapping his knee wtching video clips from by gone shows where he is singing. I left after 1 hour. I couldn't take it any longer. it was unfortunate that he didn't sing along with the clips. afterall, I assumed it was a concert, not a trip down memory lane

I thought, we will be watching a live show vice TV clips. Pat Boone is still good but he sang only live 2 or 3 songs. Unless you are die hard Pat Boone fans, the show is boring as I heard inside the restrooms after the show.
