About

Baby-faced country star Hunter Hayes may be young, but he can hang tough with the best of 'em come showtime. The talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist is a one man powerhouse, playing virtually every instrument and assuming production duties on his self-titled No. 1 debut. His precocity extends to the stage, where his silky croon and boyish good looks are matched by his equally impressive energy and showmanship. Hayes knocked fans' socks off at his shows in 2013, and with a sophomore album set for release in 2014, his upcoming tour dates are sure to be no different.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Hunter Hayes got an early start in music, taking up the accordion at age two and giving his first performances at age four. By age seven he had performed for Bill Clinton at the White House, and by age 13 he was singing away on America's Most Talented Kids. These would be end-of-career highlights for many performers, but for Hayes they were just the beginning. After opening for Taylor Swift on tour and penning songs for country icons Rascal Flatts, Hayes released his self-titled, self-produced debut album in 2011. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart and spawned several chart-topping singles, including his first No. 1 "Wanted." Since then, Hayes has racked up more awards and accolades than most performers twice his age, including a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and a CMT Artist of the Year award.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

" Hunter Hayes is fabulous live. He was such a great showman. Used the space incredibly well. Even my friend who doesn't like country loved the show."
"Hunter Hayes was so adorable, all I can say is that this show was for all ages and I would recommend it to anyone. He is so full of energy and puts on a great show that includes the audience!"

" He had so much energy... He didn't stop bouncing and jumping around for the entire 2 hours & 20 minutes he was on stage. Impressed by the length of the show, the clarity of the music and overall mood/attitude of the evening."

    Subpar performance

by Nitrolvr on 4/29/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

He spent way too much time messing around with electronics to make "loops"and "background tracks"to play along with, because there wasn't a band with him. I feel this really detracted from the show. I go to quite a few concerts and can say that this was one of the slowest, lowest energy shows I've been to. It started off slow, slow through the middle, and only picked up at the last 2 songs when he - surprisingly - just picked up the guitar and played the music. I would have much preferred he just play an acoustic set, or one instrument set, rather than try to emulate the other instruments by himself. He's clearly very skilled and talented, but this particular show was a letdown.

    Hunter Hayes was Amazing!

by rhickmo on 4/29/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

Hunter Hayes put on a great show. Always nice to see an artist that genuinely appreciates the people that take their time to show up and watch them perform. Decided to go last minute and so glad we did. Had an incredible bonus with his opener, Blue Eyes. Hadn't heard of her before but following the show downloaded her music immediately. Such a cool night.

    Over all fun

by County fan on 4/29/24The Depot - Salt Lake City

He is extremely talented and I love his music, but I wish he would have talked a little less and played a few more songs. Also the amount of time we had to wait between the vip Q&A and him coming on stage was long and nothing to do because drinks/food were not open yet.

Such a talented artist! Was interactive and personable throughout the concert. Venue was small and intimate. We had chairs so we could sit down throughout the concert. Thanks for a great time! Looking forward to next year.

    Go, his concerts are amazing

by Laura B on 4/24/24Fillmore Minneapolis presented by Affinity Plus - Minneapolis

Everything you could ask for and more in a live performer. I’ve been a fan for over a decade now and every single show is well thought out, he interacts with the audience in an authentic way, and his voice is exactly what he sounds like on his albums. A true talent that’s authentic and excited to be on stage every time I see him, and grateful to fans too. My favorite person to see in concert. Go see him!

by JR on 4/23/24Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

My wife and I fell in love with Hunter’s music a decade ago when we were falling in love with each other. We went to see his show in San Antonio last night and had an absolute blast! We were just sitting there in awe the whole time! Incredible! Thank you Hunter for pouring your heart out for us! Best concert we've been to in a long time!

Hunter Hayes flying solo: good, could be better

by Cam on 4/20/24House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

I’ve been to three concerts with Hunter. The flying solo tour was entertaining and it was neat to see him recreate the songs on stage by himself. He is very talented and I enjoyed the show. However, with it just being him onstage, he had a lot to do between songs. It took him a bit to re-tune guitars and get things set for the next song. With a band, they take care of that while he talks with the audience. Some of that was missing with this concert. He still spoke between songs and all, but it wasn’t as smooth as other live concerts of his I’ve been to. He also catered to the “look at me” dancing people a little too much at the Dallas concert. He’s talented, it was a good show, it just could have been better.
