Beautiful performance from Alabama Ballet and the ASO, as always!
My daughter and I really enjoyed seeing Giselle. The dancers were marvelous. The sets and costumes really beautiful.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Alabama Ballet performance of Giselle with live performance of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. It was a Grand Classical Ballet Experience. The dancers showed excellent classical ballet technique as well as superb dramatic interpretation. Then the added delight of full symphony orchestra is a rare treat now a days. I highly recommend attending ballet productions at The Alabama Ballet in Birmingham, AL !!
The ballet was stunning, especially Act 2. The music was beautiful and the dancers were amazing. We had never seen Giselle before. Act 1 was great, but Act 2 was absolutely beautiful. The music by the Alabama Symphony was beautiful, and the performance by the Alabama Ballet was stunning.
Alabama Ballet did a gorgeous job!!! Giselle is one of my favorite ballets and I was so inspired to see it performed so beautiful where I live.
A beautiful ballet and especially nice to have the AL Symphony!! Enjoyed the whole event!!
The entire event at BJCC was truly an amazing experience. Alabama Ballet is truly a company to watch because they are doing some amazing things. While overall everything was great, I do have one complaint. I was unaware of having to have a clear bag/ purse until I got to the door to enter the BJCC theatre. In the future, I believe that it be great if that could be advertised better, such as online where the tickets are being purchased as well as at the very front of the BJCC, instead of right at the theatre door. This was inconvenient due to having to park a good way away and needing the personal items that I had in my purse.
Giselle, however you pronounce it, dazzled a too sparse Saturday evening audience. Having the symphony perform with the ballet added to the performance. I had attended a Tuesday night preview and was disappointed not to see the young lady who danced for us and whose face was on the program in the role of Giselle. The man playing the rejected suitor was awesome as was the Queen of the spirits
I continue to be amazed at the quality of both the Ballet and Symphony. They are both equal to or better than any I have ever seen. I can say this without question, since I have watched performances all over the world. My only suggestion for improvement would be to more strictly enforce the food and drink in the Theater.
My wife and I attended a performance of Giselle. The ballet company and the symphony did a superb job. Thank you for everyone’s hard work in putting this together!
