BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A Great Big Pile of Leaves was formed in Connecticut in 2007 by singer/guitarist Pete Weiland and drummer Tyler Soucy. After relocating to Brooklyn, the duo self-recorded and released their first two EPs, The Fiery Works I & II. They brought on bassist Tucker Yaro for their first live shows, and in 2009 the newly minted trio began work on their first full-length album. The result was 2010's Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex LP, an auspicious debut that landed them on tour with fellow indie acts The Appleseed Cast and Hellogoodbye. They followed up in 2011 with two acoustic EPs, and in 2012 they added their touring guitarist Matt Fazzi to the band's full-time roster. A Great Big Pile of Leaves made their studio debut as a foursome in 2013 with their sophomore album You're Always on My Mind, a critical and commercial success that landed at No. 15 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and remains a staple on the band's captivating tours.
