Never a Dull Moment
Teragram Ballroom - Los Angeles
Shrink the venue and they bring the size out in music. I am enamored by the majesty of the acts that come through the Teragram and then somehow they never fail to perform to my expectations. Yeasayer has earned a place amongst the greats here (Eagles of Death Metal, Gary Numan, Wye Oak, Why? etc)

Good first time
The Fillmore - San Francisco
Only know a couple of their songs (from iTunes) but my son had seen them three times and said it was a good light show. The first three or four tunes were interesting, well-performed but didn't grab me. Then they started to warm up, razzed the crowd a bit and brought some variety into the set. Then played one of the tunes I knew, so I could sing along. Not sure if the light show was the same as what my kid had seen, but it was so-so, neither adding to nor detracting from the concert. Worth a second look (especially if its at the Fillmore, almost always a good vnue). Poster was lame and vendor couldn't ID CD with specific songs, but that didn't detract.

Paradise Rock Club - Boston
Yeasayer was incredible. It took a very long time for them to set up (close to 40 minutes) after the opening band. But their performance was great.

El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles
Overall a profoundly memorable experience for countless reasons. Yeasayer truly outdid themselves, and the crowd, myself very much included, couldn't have loved it more.

Yeasayer never disappoints
El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles
They have an amazing ability to get a crowd going. They have an ease on stage and a good wry sense of humor. The El Rey was crowded but not unpleasant and the sound was good. great night, thank you!

Fun Show, Cool Music
The Observatory OC - Santa Ana
This was my first time watching Yeasayer live and they didn't disappoint! They had a good mix of upbeat/chill songs and played the favorites ("oh, Henrietta!"). I wasn't really sure what to expect, but their mix of styles translates well in a live setting.

Yea to Yeasayer!
El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles
Yeasayer sounded just as great live as they do on their records. The energy in the room was infectious, and the El Rey Theatre provided an ideal intimate setting. I'd definitely see them again when they come through town.

Rumsey Playfield, Central Park - New York
it was a great show, Yeasayer especially - great music always, but in concert they are truly spectacular. beautiful stage set and light show, but it always felt like a complement to the music. the new drummer (standing up the entire set) is awesome too.

Awesome can't wait to see them again! Central park is a great venue, pretty cool as the sun goes down in the autumn.

Dance your ass off with Yeasayer!!!
Fox Theater in Oakland - Oakland
This was the second time I saw Yeasayer, and they really put on a great show. Their music is so positive and they are so much fun to watch. I can't help but dance uncontrollably when I see them, and it's easy to lose yourself in their music. Very fun, upbeat, nice harmonies, and all around great music. They put on an awesome light show too, that was super cool and added a great element to an already fantastic performance. I will see them every time they play in my area. My one complaint was that they didn't play for as long as I hoped. They only played for a little over an hour and they could have added a few more songs to the mix.
YEASAYER IN CONCERT:
The members of psychedelic rock group Yeasayer have been defying the mainstream with their experimental synths, unique three-part harmonies, and melodic sound since making their debut in 2006 with All Hour Cymbals. The band's passion radiates through the crowd as they play fan favorites like "Ambling Alp" and "O.N.E." with a fervor that can't be matched. Their sonically innovative, hook-filled tracks are layered with detail, and they truly come alive for fans at the band’s intense live shows.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Brooklyn-based act Yeasayer started performing together in 2006 and began earning serious attention a year later when they made their first festival appearance at SXSW. They made their full-length album debut in 2007 with All Hour Cymbals, which received rave reviews from publications like Pitchfork and Entertainment Weekly for its genre-bending sound and led to opening spots on tours with Beck and MGMT. The band continued their success with 2010's Odd Blood -- a record that peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Independent Albums chart and included several songs that were featured on popular TV shows. Their 2012 album Fragrant World led to a number of sold-out headlining dates, high-profile festival appearances, and late night talk show performances, and they continued to earn hundreds of thousands of fans along the way. With their continually evolving sound and impressive showmanship, Yeasayer amazes concertgoers with their dance-worthy collection whenever they take the stage.
