The beauty and force of nature on stage

by Rastinha78 on 3/15/16New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

There are no words to express how it felt to witness the majestic combination of energies, and souls that were able to synchronize their times and unify in a one of a time performance. Last night was an example on how working together the world becomes a better one, for all; but most importantly for the future generations. A display of hard work and determination, beauty and talent, and a rollercoaster of emotions where you could feel the energy of every drum beat in your heart.

    Male African drummers unforgettable!!

by DLOP on 11/15/10Newark Symphony Hall - Newark

This program was unforgettable but my grandkids snoozed through the adult female portion. I think the ordere of presentation should have been: Newark public schools, adult females and lastly the male drummers. That order would have brought the house down.

Wofabe African Dance & Drum Concert ; Outstanding!

by Anonymous on 11/15/10Newark Symphony Hall - Newark

This was the first time my family and I attended the Wofabe African Dance and Drum Concert and we had a great time. The organizer, Karen Love, did a great job of attaining a great mix of performers. Each group was unique in their presentation and interpretation of African culture in the diaspora. Next year I will try to attend the classes during the day as well as go to the evening show.
