Winterlicious Tickets

Booking the tickets was frustrating as I am not a regular ticketmaster customer. As I had booked on-line, I had expected to receive an e-ticket for admission. But that was not the case. Tickets had to be picked up at a ticketmaster location. I had ordered the tickets on Friday and due to other commitments was not able to pick up the tickets on Saturday. I discovered late Saturday night that most ticketmaster outlets are closed on Sunday. I tried to call Casa Loma to inquire whether my email confirmation would be sufficient to gain entry to the event, but was unable to connect with a live person. Coming from out of town we had to make a significant detour on our route to the event once we located a ticketmaster outlet that was open on Sunday adding an additional hour to our travel time. Once we got to the event we found the it disorganized with no-one able to tell us what to do other than go on a tour of Casa Loma. All we wanted to do was go out for lunch. While I had booked for a 2:30 seating and had arrived in time to be seated at 2:30, we weren't seated past 3pm in a hallway. Not exactly the ideal location for 'high tea'. We found the food portions to be unsubstantial and not in comparison to other high teas and certainly not sufficient for an adult male nor value for the money we paid. We have attended Winterlicious events over the past 5 years and I would not recommend this event.
