Singer-songwriter William Fitzsimmons has an alluring nature about him with his hushed, emotive voice, stirring crowds as he sings songs of love and heartbreak. Fitzsimmons has a way of making the crowd feel like they’re a part of his performances, often taking requests from audience members and exchanging witty banter with fans. Whether he’s crooning on his popular tune “I Don’t Feel It Anymore” or adding a new twist to Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl,” Fitzsimmons is truly one to watch, treating ticket buyers to a number of highly anticipated shows with Leif Vollebekk as his opening act.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born to two blind parents, Fitzsimmons grew up in a musical household, learning an array of instruments ranging from his father’s hand-built pipe organ to the trombone, guitar, and banjo. In the early ‘00s he pursued a Master’s degree in counseling, working as a therapist and playing music on the side to keep his own sanity. After producing several songs in his bedroom he decided to follow his passion and talent as a musician full-time, debuting his home recordings on his 2005 breakout record Until When We Are Ghosts. Since then, Fitzsimmons has released five more studio albums including 2014’s Lions, received praise from major critics like Rolling Stone and Billboard, and been featured on a number of hit television shows like Grey’s Anatomy. Although he’s spent time on the road alongside Ingrid Michaelson and Cary Brothers, Fitzsimmons steps out on his own this summer, headlining a US tour with Leif Vollebekk.
