    Tractor pull

by farmingks on 2/24/14Kemper Arena - Kansas City

We were a bit let down as the track was only 200 feet long. The pullers just barely had enough room and it just wasn't the same without being 300 feet long. I guess they did well with what they had to work with. I think next time we'll just wait for the outside pulls.

Shorten Tractor Pull by perhaps adding another session, starting earlier, limiting number of tractors moire,. Was a great pull just ran too late. Farm show good.

    painfullly slow

There was so much down time between tractors the spectators were left with way too much time on their hands. Conversations between friends or new aquaintances were just getting in depth when finally a driver was ready to get started. At least that is what you thought until the tractor stalled out because he hadn't had appropriate warm up to keep the engine running. The track had a dip where the sled had dug a ditch that should have been attended better between pullers. The track crew needed to be quicker, much quicker, this includes the roller. The crew moving the tractors needs to keep an eye all around so that they don't almost run into other tractors. All in all for the first year it was ok, but have much higher expectations that the staff has learned a great deal this year and next year will be much improved. The staff for Kansas City would do well to attend a large show such as Louisville for some pointers.
