Excellent Performance
by Doctorjp on 11/2/14Library of Congress - WashingtonThis youngish European choir gave stellar renditions of both sacred and secular renaissance music, including the Scarlatti Stabat Mater which initially brought them to the attention of music lovers. It is difficult to imagine a better performance of that complex religious setting, clearly one the group has perfected with many performances. Equally good were the three Monteverdi secular pieces and a religious piece new to me, the della Ciaia Lamentio. Shall rush to buy tickets the next opportunity I have to hear tVox Luminis!
