Volumes formed in Los Angeles in the late '00s and quickly rose to prominence in deathcore circles with their 2010 debut EP The Concept of Dreaming. Their unique lineup helped establish their unique sound -- the band is comprised of dual lead vocalists Michael Barr and Gus Farias, guitarist Diego Farias, bassist Raad Soudani, and drummer Nick Ursich. Volumes released their debut album Via in 2011, earning praise from critics and fans for their combination of melodic sensibility and sheer sonic brutality. They proved to be just as impressive on tour in support of the album, flooring audiences around the country with their electrifying energy and massive live sound.
