Threepenny exceptionally well played and staged
by MezzoFather on 10/23/13Basile Opera Center - IndianapolisHaving myself performed in "Threepenny" elsewhere, I found the Indy Opera's production to be a true pleasure to observe. All major singing roles were well cast and and believable. Some of the singers' acting and stage movement was, however, rather wooden and somewhat amateurish. That withstanding, the production, its performance, staging and lighting was excellent. "Threepenny" is not easily done in an intimate house given the supposed setting for the action, but Indy Opera fulled it off with panache.
