THOMPSON SQUARE IN CONCERT:
Thompson Square have been front-runners in the country music scene ever since their self-titled 2011 debut. Learning from the best after touring with acts like Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum, the husband and wife duo deliver every note with crystal clarity at their electric live shows. The couple have undeniable chemistry on stage -- whether they’re passionately singing Top 10 hits like "If I Didn't Have You" and "Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About” or playfully exchanging witty banter, Thompson Square's performances never fail to amaze fans. Back on the road in 2014, the pair will hit the ground running with a string of dates on the Just Feels Good Tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Thompson Square got their start during a little friendly competition at a Nashville singing contest in 1996. After realizing their potential together, they got married and combined their solo careers, quickly attracting the attention of Stoney Creek Records, who signed them in 2010. The pair released their rip-roarin’ single "Let's Fight" the same year, followed by double-platinum hit "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not." Their 2011 self-titled debut was met with widespread acclaim in the country community, earning them three American Country Awards and an ACM Award. 2013 brought the release of Just Feels Good, which reached No. 1 on the US Indie chart and featured two Top 10 hits, turning them into one of country's biggest sensations. Fans have something to holler about in 2014 as Thompson Square head back on the road, spreading their infectious chemistry and catchy songs on their Just Feels Good Tour.

Had wanted to see Thompson Square for along time.............but sure wasn't worth my wait. :( They sang good music, some of their's and some new but a lot of music that WASNT even their? music. I would not have paid to see that had I known. Also not sure if it is every concert they have but did lots and lots and lots of talking in between songs and that just drug it out and kind of like stalled time. The most favorite song of all "Kiss me or NOT" they saved for there encore (again not singing all there songs) and it was the LAST SONG they sang. I would NOT go again that's for sure............maybe we just got a bad one?
It is a great event to listen to the artist about the songs and hear them play at this venue. What a wonderful cause.
By the time Thompson Square came on stage, the hundreds of people had dwindled down to only about 60-70. They played for us like it was a packed house but it was still incredibly intimate. They were so nice and I could tell they genuinely loved being on stage together.
I went to this event because it was a fundraiser and to meet others sharing this purpose. The "elite" were on the balcony the entire time so there was no mingling. When the founders spoke they didn't explain what their charity does. I had brought a friend and she had no idea what this group does, she still doesn't. They missed such an opportunity to share the great things they do. The opening music was dull and focused on drinking and swearing, even though the charity had children in the crowd. As a matter of fact, one little boy was on stage as the f bomb was dropped a few times! I can't speak to the major act because we left before it.
Great show and entertainers. Would recommend to anyone to see Thompson Square...
I loved the show. Great songs sung with wonderful harmonies. The banter back and forth between Shawna and Keifer was so fun. The love between them was so evident. The new songs they played were as outstanding as the old familiar tunes.
I had never seen Thompson Square in concert before, and was looking forward to watching and hearing them live. The Paramount was a nice and inimate venue for this duo, and they put on a beautiful and personal show, especially after being somewhat off the radar for their new baby. They played several new songs from their upcoming album which I am looking forward to. The night was also made awesome by sharing it with a special person.
Quaint concert with some great artists! Love the closeness of the venue and that it wasn't overcrowded. Loves all the artists too! Thankful they can put on a show like this for the metro.
All preformers were amazing! Jame otto was awesome, tears in my eyes! The last song was so much fun that everyone came out sang and just had fun together! Cant wait for next year!
This was our first time attending an event at the Effingham Performance Center. I love the atmosphere in a smaller theater. There isn't a bad seat anywhere in the place. The music was awesome. Thompson Square sang all of my favorites of their songs. For the encore they picked songs that the audience requested. That was different and the band member who sang Purple Rain is a pretty good singer. We definitely got our moneys worth and we are looking forward to future performances to attend.
Best concert I've been to. I would have stayed all night, the show was amazing, the venue was great. Both Shawna and Kiefer have a stage present that is second to none. They were taking request, and they sang song that were not even their's, so unbelievable. Their band was amazing too. I hope they come back to the EPC for another show real soon. We love the acoustic part of the show the best. This is where you really can appreciate they true talent.
Best concert of the year! We went to many concerts this season and this was, by far, the best performance at the best venue.
It's was fun energetic and good priced. The venue was great with both food and drinks. Easy to get to and local.
The music was extremely loud, couldn't hear them sing. They played for only 1 hr and 15 minutes. Would only autograph if you purchased merchandise, excluding tickets, when the singers told us they would sign anything. I would never waste my money to see them again. HORRIBLE concert!!!!!!
The show was absolutely amazing. Thompson Square is a great band, this is the second time we saw them. They just keep getting better!! I love how personal they are, and how thy get the crowd involved in the show.
They had a cool band and great dynamic between the two of them and shared their story with the audience. They encouraged audience participation and introduced the band members with a rock song! Very fun and different. Highly recommend. Great small venue made it more intimate and special!
We had a fantastic time at Thompson Square. We did the meet & greet and were great down to earth folks. The small venue was perfect and Thompson Square had good fun with the audience. Looking forward to our next Thompson Square concert.
I love this duo. They are talented and engaging with the audience. It was great to hear all of their music, but I loved the stories behind some of their songs, and the way they slowed things down and did acoustic on some of their favorite songs that got them into the business. My only wish is that their concert would have been at a better venue. I am certain more people would have turned out if it was held at a notable place.
The event was fun, laid back and friendly. Thompson Square delivered a delightful evening. They and their band are engaging and loveable. Thanks T-Square!
