THOMPSON SQUARE IN CONCERT:
Thompson Square have been front-runners in the country music scene ever since their self-titled 2011 debut. Learning from the best after touring with acts like Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum, the husband and wife duo deliver every note with crystal clarity at their electric live shows. The couple have undeniable chemistry on stage -- whether they’re passionately singing Top 10 hits like "If I Didn't Have You" and "Everything I Shouldn't Be Thinking About” or playfully exchanging witty banter, Thompson Square's performances never fail to amaze fans. Back on the road in 2014, the pair will hit the ground running with a string of dates on the Just Feels Good Tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Thompson Square got their start during a little friendly competition at a Nashville singing contest in 1996. After realizing their potential together, they got married and combined their solo careers, quickly attracting the attention of Stoney Creek Records, who signed them in 2010. The pair released their rip-roarin’ single "Let's Fight" the same year, followed by double-platinum hit "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not." Their 2011 self-titled debut was met with widespread acclaim in the country community, earning them three American Country Awards and an ACM Award. 2013 brought the release of Just Feels Good, which reached No. 1 on the US Indie chart and featured two Top 10 hits, turning them into one of country's biggest sensations. Fans have something to holler about in 2014 as Thompson Square head back on the road, spreading their infectious chemistry and catchy songs on their Just Feels Good Tour.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Great concert by Thompson Square. We really enjoyed the show. You can really see how well they get together and how connected they are on stage. They have terrific harmony and their band is amazing."
"This couple has such great chemistry that truly is felt by the audience. Thompson Square's vocals complement each other perfectly and they truly perform. I had such a blast seeing them!"
"This was by far one of the best concerts I have attended. Thompson Square is a very talented duo. It is obvious that they love what they do and they have a good time doing it. It was awesome that they got so personal with the audience."
Very entertaining and really liked the smaller showroom
more jokes than music. didn't play enough of their original songs or older songs, told too many jokes.
This is the third year my daughter and I have gone to Jingle Jam. It is such a different experience from other concerts. The artists singing and playing acoustically really shows the talent of the artists. There are some people that you already know, but the chance to be introduced to new artists is great as well. On top of all of this, the ticket you purchase helps support St. Jude, which is awesome
We were so excited to go to this concert as part of our Music City Experience. We got there in time to pick great seats up at the side of the stage. We could see well with out havimg to worry about everyone in front of us standing through the whole concert. The opening act was great! Casey had her sound set perfectly!! We coukd hear the words, hear her, and hear the notes she played on the guitar! She was awesome to listen to. A very talented young man lady! But wgen Thompson Square came out, it was so loud. We couldn't understand a single thing they were singing. It was causing me to feel like I was having a heart attack. I got up and went to the back of the auditorium and it only helped slightly. I kept hoping the guy at the sound board was going bnb to realize thaf the sound was bouncing around in that domed building with no place to settle. There weren't enough people in there to deaden the volume. My husband and I left! As a musician, I was so sad at that. I love concerts but not when I cant inderstand anything they are signing.
My favorite band, and was so excited to see them finally on stage! The venue was amazing, especially the food. Thompson Square are awesome to watch. They have amazing chemistry, and I teared up a couple times. I love thier vibe and how they express their love on stage. Can't wait to see them again!
OMG … They were AWESOME!!! they both have such beautiful voices and the band is the best! I appreciate that they play these intimate venues and give back to their fans … they have no idea how much they touch us. Thank you Thompson Square!
This was an acoustical show with just them on the stage and it was fantastically awesome because it was a very intimate and personal show. They made it seem as they were playing just for my wife and I. Her voice has so much range. If you get a chance go see this show; you will not regret it!
We loved the performance by Thompson Square. Their music is fabulous. Clapping and toe tapping all evening. Great connection with fans and audience. So glad I went !
The opening act was great. Thompson Square are a power couple. Plenty of great songs, stories, jokes. They kept a smile on my face.
Thompson Square was engaging, funny and amazing vocals
I have seen T2 several times at different venues but this acoustic version was fabulous. I loved hearing the different stories about how the songs were written.
T2 was awesome! Even though Shawna said she had been sick, you could not tell it at all. Her voice, as usual, was beautiful and Keifer, was so funny! They interacted a lot with the crowd and gave us all an amazing night! The only issue I had was with a few of the Sound Waves staff that were condecending and sarcastic to not only me but other fans that were attending the VIP met and greet. Unfortunately it was a bit stressful having to deal with their lack of organization and yet snobbish attitude. But all was forgotten when we met Keifer and Shawna and then later had a wonderful concert! I would absolutely tell everyone to go and attend a T2 concert when they have an opportunity!
They were both awesome ! Friendly and funny.. love the venue too
What a fun & talented singer/songwriter duo. Love the stories of their romance before & after marriage. It was a perfect date nite filled with beautiful music.
I gave the event 4 stars for 2 reasons 1: the woman in front of us kept standing the whole time, so we had trouble seeing. We could hear them fine, but, at least I like to see the show too. Which isn't the venue's or thompson square's fault. Some people just don't know how to be polite and sit down so people can enjoy the show behind them, i paid to see thompson square, not your back. Just saying. 2: the opening act, the beadle brothers, were terrible. They're a cover band. they play fine, but they can't sing at all, it was painful in my opinion anyways to listen to them. Outside of those complaints, thompson square was awesome, and they should let keifer do like a 10 minute little monologue. I thought his little comments and such between songs was funny as hell..... and they did some new songs. "Masterpiece" is an amazing song. Hopefully they'll get into the studio and get it out to country radio.
I bought tickets for my wife and I just to get out of the house on a winter night and was blown away by this band! What a great show and amazing musicians! I would definitely recommend and even attend again myself!
The opening band did a great job getting the audience going. They were very engaged and interacting with each other. Once Thompson Square came on - the energy in the room definitely changed. The interaction felt "forced". The band members did not interact at all. None of them really looked like they were having fun. They sang some of their popular songs along with some new ones. It was just okay.
OMG....what a show! That was one of best performances we've seen in a long time. Keifer is a riot and Shawna-what a voice. Loved Shawna's new look and how they compliment each other as an awesome duo.
Absolutely worth every penny. Great venue and performance. T2 sings so many things my husband and myself can relate to being together for 20 years. Can't wait to see them again.
Love Penns Peak and Thompson Square was great. Very intimate setting perfect!!!
