It was all I, my wife, and my daughter could do to stay awake. Boring as I've ever seen. We actually left at intermission. Nothing scary about this. And the woman who played Theodora could use acting lessons on how NOT to overact. Disappointing to say the very least.
The actors never broke character and the set was perfect for what one would expect to see just from hearing the title, having not read the novel. Keeps your attention and keeps you wondering. Curly-haired actress with the brown hair was outstanding with her sarcasm, as well as the other actors/actresses!
I can't believe that I spent over $100 to take my daughter to this boring play! The first 2 hours of it was spent with the characters talking about how scared they were supposidly going to be by visiting the Hill House. Then, the rest was just as disappointing; especially the ending- which I never really understood. SKIP THIS ONE!
First act --- put us to sleep Second act -- picked up a little with the addition of 2 new characters. Ultimately---forgettable!
The Haunting of the Hill House did not translate well to the stage. The guy who played Arthur was kind of humorous, Theodora was pretty hot and the professor's wife was ok. The play itself was laughable and extremely boring and I wish I could get my money back.
Was funny and pretty good and then it just seem to send without completing understanding what was going on.
I paid for 10 tickets and took family and friends. We were soooo disappointed. I've never been disappointed at Meadowbrook Theatre until now. Don't bother with this one!
It was supper boring! me and my date left during the intermission.
Awesome actors, great stage set & scenery, seats in entire theater were great! I will definitely go again!
