As a huge fan of the Takacs Quartet from their recordings, especially their Schubert and Late Beethoven quartets, i was really looking forward to seeing them live in concert. I was NOT dissappointed....it was amazing. Just as brilliant in concert as on their cds. I can not wait to see them again. BRAVO!!!
Really was amazed with Nobu's piano playing, which I knew I would be. I wish they would have done an encore. The quartet was really good, but I think I would have enjoyed a Beethoven piece in the middle, rather than the Bartok. I was squiriming a bit in my chair (and so were others!). They played it very well, and maybe that was the problem! ;-)
