State Theatre

Directions:

From the East:
Take I-94 West to the 11th Street exit, this will be a one-way directly into downtown. In approximately 6-7 blocks you will arrive at Hennepin Avenue. Turn right on Hennepin. The State Theatre is on the right after 9th Street.

From the South:
Take I-35W North to the 11th Street/Grant Street exit. Stay on 11th Street until you get to Hennepin Avenue. Turn right on Hennepin. The State Theatre is on the right after 9th Street.

From the North via 94 East:
Take I-94 West to the Dunwoody Avenue/Hennepin Avenue exit. Follow Hennepin Avenue into downtown. The State Theatre will be on your right after 9th Street.

From the North via 35W South:
Take I-35W South to 94W. Take the next exit, which is the 11th Street exit, and this will be a one-way directly into downtown. In approximately 6-7 blocks you will arrive at Hennepin Avenue. Turn right on Hennepin. The State Theatre is on the right after 9th Street.

From the West:
Take 394E to the Hennepin Avenue/Dunwoody Avenue exit. Follow Hennepin Avenue into downtown. The State Theatre will be on your right after 9th Street.

Parking:

There is ample parking in the area. There are flat lots on the corner of 10th St and Hennepin Avenue. There are also ramps located at Marshall Fields, LaSalle Plaza, Target Center, or municipal ramps. The State Theatre recommends using the Hawthorne ramp at 9th Street & First Avenue. The State Theatre is also accessible by the downtown skyway system.

Will Call:

Will Call can be picked up no earlier than 90 minutes prior to the performance at the State Theate Box Office. Customers must present a picture ID, the credit card used for purchase and the order number.

Accessible Seating:

Wheelchair accessible seating is available on the main floor only, as there is no elevator to the balcony. Seating is in Section 3, Rows K and L, and Section 1, Row KK.

Hearing devices are available. Please bring a drivers liscense or credit card to an usher to obtain a device.

General Rules:

The State Theatre is a gun-free facility. We prohibit weapons in or on our Theatre grounds.

Cameras and recording devices are not allowed. Pagers and cell phones must be checked with an usher or the box office.

Children Rules:

Everyone must have a ticket. Children under 6 years of age are discouraged from attending unless the performance is intended for young audiences. Anyone being distruptive will be asked to leave, and no refund will be given. Babysitters may call 612-339-7007 to contact parents. Please be sure the sitter has the seat location of your tickets, since the theatre is not equiped with a paging system. The exact seat location is comprised of a section number, row letter and seat number.

Miscellaneous:

Row A is the first row of permanent main floor seating. Orchestra pit seating (if available) will be in front of row A.
