This was what I consider to be a very weak line up of artists this year for the annual Star94 Jingle Jam. I was hesitant to sit through the two relatively unknown opening acts. I'll start with Echosmith...I had a meet and greet with all 3 bands brfore the show. Echosmith was very quiet, except for the singer. She was very sweet and friendly and created good conversation. Their sound and her voice was great, but they played entirely too long. Also, the lead singer kept flipping and playing with her hair to the point of being annoying and obnoxious. Nerves? Quite possibly since they are all so very young...might just be an inexperience thing.
Lindsey Stirling- also great at the meet and greet. Very nice and friendly and good conversation. She was VERY good on stage and got very wonderful feedback from the audience. Her musical talent and athletiicism were outstanding. A joy to watch. This, too went on a bit too long and became boring after a while since it is kind of the same repetitive stuff over and over. She lost the audience a little bit at the end.
The Script: VERY ENGAGING AND FRIENDLY at the M and G. Talked to all of them for a lot longer than anyone else and they even let me take additional pictures without complaint. My sister on the other side of the states is obsessed with them (as much as I am) and she was heartbroken that she did not get a M and G with them. We took an extra picture and they even let me hold up a sign for her (see photo). Live...well, what can you say? They are never anything other than perfect. Danny engaged the audience by coming down and singing in the audience quite a bit. Unfortunately, he sustained a scratch on his face from an over zealous fan. Poor guy. I have seen them 5 times now and they have yet to put on a show anything less than perfect. Go see them if you ever get a chance to.
