Smoking Popes Tickets

They did an amazing show! They are really good live! The stand in guitar player was on point!

Their performance was better than expected. Their sound was engaing. Their contenet was deep. And they rocked!!!

The Smoking Popes NYE show was a very fun night. It wasn't extremely crowded and everyone was in good spirits. However, we missed the opening band, Girl In A Coma. Which, with all due respect, was the main reason we went. The show started earlier than listed, while no one was really there yet. Also, their name was on the ticket, which usually means they go on right before the main band. In this case, Makeshift Prodigy was the second show to go on. So, disappointed that we missed the main band we wanted to see, but so thankful that the Popes rocked it out and saved the night!

Smoking Popes were good as always but the opener, Makeshift Prodigy was AMAZING. All original song and a great stage show. You could hear all the wonderful lyrics and it looked like the band was having a great time as well. Love Love Love MP!!!

Not only did the Popes rock this one - they played forever!! This was such an awesome show I didn't even care that something that smelled slightly of "bathroom" was leaking from the ceiling at DoubleDoor and onto my shoulder. They always aim to please their fans and this night was no exception - they played a monster set with a few crowd requests thrown in and two encores. I could rave about this show forever - it still gets brought up when I'm with the group that I went with. We all had a blast - from the old time Popes fans like myself to the newbies that had barely heard the new album before going to their first show that night.

Damn! Smoking Popes killed it, dragged it across the sticky sweet floor, and set it free! Let's hear it for, let's hear it for love!
