    Dancing in the Aisles

by ncyb on 12/1/14BMO Harris Bradley Center - Milwaukee

When we walked in, we were a little nervous. We had a 6-yr-old in our group and thought the show might be too juvenile for his tastes. Our fears were quickly dispelled when the show started. He was enthralled from the first note and dancing in the aisles by the second act. The 4-yr-old stood with his mouth agape the entire show and the 3-yr-old alternated between gaping and dancing. They loved it. Our only criticism was in our seats. We were as far to the side as possible and I had a bright light shining directly into my eyes the entire show. With all the available technology, you'd think they could light a stage without blinding the audience members. We were also barricaded from dancing with the characters. I realize some people paid more but still barricades?????? These are small children. Our found ways around the obstacles but still felt separated from the action.

There was Dancing in the Aisles!!!

by CSADid on 12/1/14BMO Harris Bradley Center - Milwaukee

Sesame Street Live: Let's Dance was captivating from the get go. My one year old grandson couldn't sit still he was so excited by the characters and the music. Hearing tunes from the show and even popular hits from the 80s was great! I'd recommend this show to all parents with little ones and even no so little ones. My 9 year old had a great time!

    Sesame Street, very live!

Great show for toddlers they know their audience. Lots of opportunity for movement for active tots. Sesame Street knows their audience. Did not appreciate the sale of giant balloons at intermission. Eight dollars, really?

Sesasme Street Live is great for toddlers

by Pebblerose on 11/19/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - Toronto

Excellent show! My daughter's second live show but the first one where she got up and danced like crazy. Seeing her enjoy herself and dance with the other children was such a joy. Of course, only if your seating area had dance space surrounding it. Great seats in the orchestra and conveniently an open dance floor right behind us. It cannot be any better unless we had photos ops with the characters and more interaction time with them while they danced off-stage.

    Sesame Sreet Live - Awesome!!

by ZachasMom on 11/19/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - Toronto

I took my 15 month old to this show and he LOVED it! The songs and characters were great - so colourful and engaging! The only recommendation I would make for future performances would be to skip the 15 minute intermission, and make the show an hour or 50 minutes - I think it would be better to run the show straight through to hold the kids attention. I observed that the kids got a little restless after the intermission rather than in the first half they were quite captivated. I understand children need bathroom breaks and such, but that can be done on an individual basis. As a whole, I feel the show was fantastic, really fun - the intermission is the only thing I would change.

Lot of kids crying at end...wanted to keep balls tossed out...lost interest early on..not anywhere near enough story...too much noise not singing..(need solo voices) . no story telling..kids want to hear happy stories...my child is 3...bored before intermission...same noise over n over Toy was more enjoyable

    expected a littlw but more

by Anonymous on 11/18/14Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - Toronto

Went with my husband and 2 year old daughter. Seats were in the mezzanine, actually not bad seating. The show itself was not amazing, it was fair, not worth the cost for what it was. There was no sound where we were seated, acoustics were awful, the Sony Centre itself actually is kinda of subpar, first time going there and was not impressed. It was clean and staff seemed friendly enough which is a great positive. The " concessions" were burnt popcorn and stale candy and quite a bit of expired pops. It would have been amazing if the upper seating could have had some interaction with the characters in some way.

My son really like the show. We attended last year show and this show by far was much better. We were on the 2nd row of F2 section and the seats were great and alot of interaction with the kids and characters. Like how they had some the the not so popular characters as well cause my son likes them. GREAT SHOW !!!!!!!!!

    Sesame Street Live Dance

by queenshimmer on 11/11/14Salem Civic Center - Salem

My son loved the show! It was awesome and very cool that the characters came into the aisles and interacted with the kids. Ernie gave my 2 year old son a high-five and he was talking about that all weekend! Only issue is the top spot lights glared in his eyes quite a bit. But still...5 stars!

    Definitely for kids

by ACNY on 10/23/14Westchester County Center - White Plains

My son (almost 3) is familiar with some major Sesame Street characters, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Zoe, Grover. He doesn't watch the show so much but I wanted to take him to a live event. I did not want to be in the center. As a short mother with short parents and a toddler, if people stood in front of me I couldn't guarantee we would see the stage. The section I chose was perfect for me: raised seats with clear view of the stage. Considering my kid wasn't too keen on running up to participate in the dancing, they were perfect for us. Negative: wires from the ceiling run across every picture. Overall the show is nice. The venue was comfortable. My son's fear of getting close to fully costumed people creeped in, but many kids were dancing along.

My 1 year old grand children loved the show!

by KIMKATE on 10/22/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

I have twin grandchildren and they had a great time. My granddaughter really loved the characters, especially cookie monster and the music (we purchased the CD) and she was dancing, waving and throwing kisses. I say it was a good time!

    Mesmerized Children

by Cathy1969 on 10/22/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Kids loved watching the Sesame Street crew dance and sing, the intermission timing was perfect at 45 minutes in to the show. Show lasted 90 minutes and kept my kids entranced the entire time. In all my kids came out of the show a bit overwhelmed but very happy. I would take them again and recommend for others who love to get up and dance with their children. The only downside was the sale of balloons at intermission then having the Sesame Street crew request balloons be kept down low so all can see the show. It might be better/easier in the long run if the balloons weren't sold until the end of the show.

    Terrific

by NanaJ123 on 10/22/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

The show was amazing. My 3 grandchildren danced and had a great time. I cannot say enough about the staff at the Civic Center. They were so accommodating and friendly. The 90 minute show was perfect, not too short and not too long. The intermission was a nice break and quick enough to get snacks and run to the bathroom with the kids. I would highly recommend this event.

For young toddlers... 3+ years old would not...

by Anonymous on 10/21/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

My daughter and I did enjoy it, although after 45 minutes she was bored. The actors were fun, but the characters were not as friendly as they should be. Need to keep in mind these kids idolize them. Rude and pushing kids to pass through is not appropriate. My Lilly is 2, so any child over 3 will be thrilled for a short time. Not to mention the civic center personnel did not allow the kids to dance and enjoy in the front.

    Fun for the Whole Family

by MadAboutJT on 10/21/14Cross Insurance Arena (Formerly Cumberland County Civic Center) - Portland

Such a cute little show. My husband and I brought our 2/12 y.o. twins. We had floor seats. The characters come down on the floor and sing and dance. Worth the money. Only 40 minutes per act, which there are two. Quick 10-15min. intermission. Perfect length!
