AUDIENCE INFORMATION
General audiences are welcome—SPIDER-MAN does not contain any inappropriate language, and the action and villains provide more thrills than chills. If you’re planning to swing by with children, SPIDER-MAN recommends the show for children 6 and up. Please be advised, attendance by children 4 and under is strongly discouraged. Kind of cheesy with forgettable music

by Did10 on 1/2/14Foxwoods Theatre - New York

The show was okay, but nothing great. The songs sounded like forgettable U2 songs, nothing that you would remember later. Some of the effects were really cheesy like the big blow-up wrestling guy and the blow-up dinosaur coming of of a guys stomach. That looked cheaper than a high school musical set. The masks for the villains were sad. The aerial work was good. Not worth the money.

    Glad it is ending.

by Mary245B on 1/2/14Foxwoods Theatre - New York

I took my 9 year old to this thinking that it would get him excited about the theater. I couldn't have been more wrong. He was completely bored (with the exception of when Spiderman was flying) and he (and I and my husband) hated the singing. Too little action, WAY too much singing. I wasn't the least bit interested in the characters or the story and the songs were pretty lame (sorry Bono). There were also quite a few set glitches. I have to say though, my 15 year old daughter loved everything about the play.

You'll enjoy it for sure even if your first language is not English. My kids hvw been talking about the show, several days after it. My wife enjoyed it even more. Incredible what they're able to do flighting high over our heads. A really different performance, never seen before. Songs were also very nice.

Spidey lost in his own web

by Spiderfannj on 1/1/14Foxwoods Theatre - New York

Seats were poor. I'm not a regular broadway goer. I had no idea my seat would be under a balcony where i would not be able to see half the aerial acrobatics. Play was ok. Way too much emphasis on romantic portion of show. Constantly breaking out into don't based on romantic notions between peter and mj and goblin and his wife. Is mean come on. I understand a little but half the show was romanticized version of a great action hero. I feel like I was watching a romance. A portion I understand but I was about to puke. Again it needed more action and less singing. Puhlease. Everytime some one had an issue they burst into song. Again not what i expected. Good parts: action sequences. Sets were awesome. Special effects great. Had a great basis but fell short especially with crazy prices. Most people cannot afford it and those that can would feel cheated. I certainly did.

    Spiderman

by 22westlessstory on 1/1/14Foxwoods Theatre - New York

When Spiderman flew it looked fake. The actor looked afraid most of the times. The stage design was the best part of the play.

    Spider-blah

by Lisa8400 on 12/31/13Foxwoods Theatre - New York

This is the worst broadway show we've seen. The plot is disjointed, the sets look cheap for the most part, and the songs are generally loud nonsense. The show is confused about whether it takes place in the 50s with the clothes or in the modern day with cell phones and blogging. It is excruciatingly boring except for the few moments when it waffles between being a kid cartoon with spidey swinging on cables and a terrifying nightmare with the giant creepy face of the green goblin on the big screen. This show won't survive in Vegas without another overhaul. And I almost felt sorry for the ushers who were basically laughed at when they tried to enforce the no photos policy but didn't confiscate phones or kick anyone out.

    so so

by Ann10774 on 12/30/13Foxwoods Theatre - New York

Spiderman has some great effects with props. It was great to see the characters flying in mid air too but it's a little boring overall. There's music and dance but i guess i'm not childlike enough to fully enjoy it.

    Slow boring play

by Cadorna on 12/30/13Foxwoods Theatre - New York

We were 16 people attending this play, and we all agree that it has excellent scenography/set design, but overall very slow, with poor dialogues, and average singers. Good special effects, however, very funny to see the actor playing Spider-Man holding to one of the strings with both hands, and not on a "Spider-Man style", but more with a bit of panic of flying around that high... There were several people snoozing around me. Music? didn't sound like something created or supervised by good musicians as Bono or The Edge... And a special note for the very rude and disrespectful ushers they have at this theatre... appalling, and definitely completing a negative experience to make sure we never return to this theatre anymore. Again, agreed by all 16 of us...

The flying spiderman and goblin were great attractions to this play, but unfortunately we found this play not very good. It was very too long and I fell asleep several times. The music was not very good either, not Bono's best work.

    Not at Broadway level

by Disappointed498 on 12/29/13Foxwoods Theatre - New York

Production, music, stage at a high shool level. Definitely not Broadway level. Characters did the best they could based on their plays. Pros are characters flying using wires through the stage. In this trip we saw Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Cinderella, Xmas Radio City spectacular. Spiderman under perform each one of them. This is the lowest Broadway show I have seen.
