Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra Tickets

The conductor, who I am told has the nick-name "Mighty Mouse" , is a bundle of raw energy. Though small in stature he is a giant of a musician. His often large gestures give an incredible sweep to the string section. His baton-less hands nevertheless trigger precision attacks from the winds and brass. No wonder that he is in his third season at the helm of the Philadelphia Orchestra in addition to his years with the Rotterdam Philharmonic. In addition to their star conductor, the players in this orchestra are also of a very high quality.

A very enjoyable concert. The orchestra is excellent and is world class. The conductor, Yannick Nezet-Seguin, is a joy to watch and is as energetic as the symphonies that were performed this evening. The string section is especially strong and gives great balance to the music played.

A superb performance. The orchestra played even better than I expected because of its conductor, one on the level of our LA Phil conductor Gustavo Dudamel.
