The Mallards always have great fan spirit. It is family and kid oriented.
Great fun. Plan to go again. Easy to book and print tickets on line.
Enjoy going to the Quad Cities to watch the Mallards play. It's really a nice time to take the family for some fun and excitement. I would highly recommend going there with the family, friends or even a date.
I went to the game with the intention of pulling my tickets up on my phone. However, when I got there, I found I couldn't pull them up on either my phone or my iPad. It was very discouraging. I went to the ticket counter and explained my situation. The girl there was very helpful and was able to look up my purchase and print out my tickets. I have purchase tickets for the games online before but this was the first time this has happened. It doesn't make me want to buy online again if this will happen every time.
Always fun to see the Mallards play and the iWireless Center is a great atmosphere for sporting events. Lots of good food choices and it's a bright, clean attractive arena. Ironically, the iWireless Center always seems to have the worst cellphone coverage of anyplace I visit, so don't plan to upload too many photos of the fun to Facebook while you're there... We were rinkside in the first row behind the players bench, which turned out to be awful seats. Other than the backs of the players, trainers and coaches, we wouldn't see 75% of the ice and really had no clue what was going on in the game. I've watched a lot of hockey, but never from behind the bench, and I had no idea how obstructed the view is. They should give those tickets away, because you really can't see the game. Three or four rows up would have been better. Really, don't buy seats right behind the bench unless you like studying the backs of players' helmets.
We spent $20 a ticket to watch a horrible hockey game with li\le or no action. I should have spent that $140 on something else. Never again. Not like they used to be.
It started out, that I was taking my 9 & 10 year olds to a game, after the team sent a few players to their school. After taking a few pictures of the kids with the players, I unwittingly promised the players that we'd come see them play. I hadn't plan on really going to be honest. But the kids wouldn't let it go. So we went, I thought my friend and his kid could come along so that I'd have someone to talk to. Turns out, we got good seats and had a heck of a good time. The kids were blown away and my friend and I only talked about the game. Awesome! Plus the home team won!
We knew we wouldn't be able to spend Valentines Day alone so This was perfect for a last minute date night!
Buying tickets online was too expensive for what you get. Even though the Mallards won the game, the referees were absolutely horrible. If this is what happens at the games it is not worth the price of admission.
