    thoroughly enjoyed the concert

by AzRAd on 3/26/13Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

Really enjoyed listening to Elizabeth Pitcairn. Her Mendelssohn red violin lives up to its billing with regards to tonal quality. I also enjoyed listening to the ProMusiac orchestra and chorale. They are an up and coming community based arts organization, and hopefully will perform more often in the Phoenix area.

The performance by ProMusica was magical, and Elizabeth Pitcairn was unforgettable. I will certainly go to some future concerts by ProMusica. They are a valuable addition to the classical music scene in the Phoenix area.

    Wonderful music

by Classicalgirl on 3/25/13Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

Elizabeth Pitcairn is a fabulous violinist and her instrument, the 1720 Stradivarius, sounded amazing in her capable hands. Not only was the music lushous and her technique flawless, but her elegance and grace were mesmerizing. Being present at her Arizona debut was very special and I will treasure it. ProMusica Arizona performed very well. The chorus sounded celestial and the orchestra was solid. The cellist and the pianist were excellent. Congratulations to Dr. Stich and ProMusica for having the vision to bring Ms. Pitcairn to the Orpheum for us to enjoy. The only negative is that the program was a bit too long for our taste and we would have preferred a different choice of music for the opening selection which would have been fine later in the program.

A Night with Stradivarius was so excellent!!

by Rnshall on 3/25/13Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix

We were absolutely thrilled with the performance!! Elizabeth really made her Red Violin sing the sweetest notes & the chorale and orchestra did a phenomenal job of supporting her. The music selections were very spine tingling.
