    Blessed beyond imagination

by Shacara on 1/23/22Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

This was a first for me and I will be back next year. All of the ministers were amazing! Safety protocols…plastic bags were a bit much but I can handle that going forward.

    Horrible Parking Situation

    by A. W. on 10/29/21

As stated previously the parking situation was horrible. I prepaid for parking and still sat over 2 hours waiting to get in and park. It seemed unorganized as far as parking. The gentleman who was checking covid vaccinations wasnt really checking them. So honestly everyone was still at risk. Hopefully next year will be better.

Great music, venue, price and performances, but...

by Angry About Parking Situation on 10/8/21Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

The parking situation was terrible - unorganized. We paid for premium parking ahead of time. However, lines for parking from all directions were stalled due to only one entrance and an unorganized process. We were there early, yet missed the first hour of the show, due to waiting in stalled parking lines. Information about parking and correct directions to the parking lot and right entrance were poorly done online. Directions only led you so far, then you had to guess after that. No signage for paid premium parking anywhere. We were very disappointed to say the least. Unprofessional.

But if I am to be honest...

by NaeNae on 10/7/21Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

Love this event and attend annually. But if I am to be honest... Venue: 1) The parking situation is awful. I purchased parking in advance and there was not any clear communication about where the, "Premium" parking lot was. There were not enough off-duty police out on the street to direct traffic efficiently. Traffic was bottlenecked in all directions and no one was there to assist. It took over 30 mins to get into the lot. 2) Seating (Section 102) was entirely too close for this type of event! Packed like sardines, not easy to move and interact well. I intentionally bought 4 seats for my husband and I to have more space (due to Covid) and the rows in front and behind were so close that you could not get out without touching someone. Praise in the Park: 1) Sound system/Sound person- Didn't seem balanced, Artist's mics weren't always turned on when they started performing, some were too loud & others too low. It was so loud at times my throat and chest were literally vibrating. 2) Performance schedule seems to be too tight. There's always an Artist that stays on stage past their time and others that get shorted. I was really bothered that Koryn Hawthorne didn't get to give a full performance this year.

    Praise in the Park

by P Dukes on 10/7/21Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

I enjoyed the show greatly. But the parking was a mess. There was no one or signs directing you to the PREPAID Parking, that I paid for in advance online for $25.00. When I did found the parking area. Patrons that were parking., were paying $20:00.. When asked about where was the lot for the Prepaid lot . I was told just follow the cars. I could have used that $5.00 toward an $8 00 soda. We spent $40+ on 1 hamburger and fries, and 1 chicken finger plate with 3 fingers and they were OUT OF KETCHUP, THIS Was during to 3rd Artist.

    Definitely Needs Improvement

by Michaela on 10/6/21Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

While in the end, my group and I ended up enjoying ourselves... there were so many things wrong with just trying to get in. For starters, WHY was only one parking lot entrance open for the amphitheatre with how many people were trying to get in to the event? No communication about parking beforehand or anything. Additionally, there was nobody out to help direct traffic. There were so many near accidents and back-ups on one-lane roads that it took us an hour just to park. Absolutely ridiculous. And on another note... my poor mother was also very disappointed because she really wanted to see CeCe Winans and planned our entire commute so that we could make it to the event on time, but alas, she missed seeing CeCe because of how terrible the parking situation was. Additionally... a lot of us had to walk a long distance from our parking spaces to the actual venue. I even saw patrons with canes walking as well. We had to walk along streets with no sidewalks, too. Please consider either partnering with local organizations or providing golf cart drivers to help with transporting. But aside from all of that, we did enjoy the artists we actually managed to see. Kierra Sheard was INCREDIBLE and such a moment, along with Pastor Mike, Mr. Talk Box, Deitrick Haddon, DOE, and others. And the event hosts were wonderful too with their personalities in-between acts.

    So "Full" & Inspired

by ATL Live Music Lover!!! on 10/6/21Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

This was my first "Praise in the Park"! I appreciate the covered venue and the new fall date vs the previous GA summer hot downtown no-shade park date. The lineup was excellent, most performers could carry the show by themselves thus I would have like less artist so that they could have more time to perform their hits; at times it felt like they were "rushing" to the next "act" to stay on schedule - hard to do when you invite the presence of the Lord!!! Like the "headline" was gracious to choose our city for a LIVE recording and even she was rushed for time at the end. The host (s) keep our attention during the "intermission" and they appeared to be a "team". The ministers (performers) brought their A-game but again time restraints (less artist more stage time)!!! How can you bring Detrick Haddon and Kierra Sheard-Kelly to down and limit their time with their extensive catalog. Thanks for having such a excellent event and being open to improvement!!! Looking forward to next year!

    Too Many Alcohol Venders

by Christie on 10/6/21Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood - Atlanta

I think the artists were great however, i was saddened at the fact that there were sooo many Alcohol venders at the concession stands. There were at least 5 or 6. So disappointing to see at a Gospel Concert. There were people drunk etc. i brought my 12 yr. for her 13th Birthday and she just loves singing and the artist but I couldn’t help to think about the younger people that were there possibly turning 21 to have easy access to getting “lit”. What if some young person wanted to being someone that didn’t know the Lord to witness and they run into the same thing they are already engaging in. We can do better and we have failed our young people in this. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 You all have the ability to control which vendors are there and should do better.
