Fayrewether Brings It for 50th Reunion Show

by HiFiDiva on 4/22/24House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

Terrific Fayrewether 50th Anniversary show Friday night at HOB, Cleveland. It’s crazy how all of those tunes came right back to me! Alex Harvey Band- “Man in the Jar” and “Faith Healer”, “Salisbury Hill” and “Shock the Monkey” -Peter Gabriel, “Locomotive Breath” -Jethro Tull, “ Talk to Ya Later” and “White Punks on Dope”,-The Tubes, “Abacab”-Genesis, and several originals. The current members are great, and it was terrific to have most of the original members join in later in the set. The Lights! The Costumes! The throw-back pics from the late 70’s-‘80’s! The tightness of the band! and some wicked guitar! Great job, guys!

    Fayrewether HOB Cleveland

by RAC on 4/13/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

This was the best Fayrewether show i have seen in many years. The set list was spot on by way of organization. I enjoyed the original Fayrewether tunes first and then ending with a few Genesis favorites. Paul bring back more like this!!

    Still the "Best"!

by Kim on 4/11/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

The acoustics at the House of Blues are "superior" to other musical venues in the Cleveland area. Fayrewether always seems to put on a great concert and the crowd was extremely satisfied. A local band with a phenominal lead singer, the best of the best back-up musicians, and an extremely big heart for its fans! Only wished they received more press and sdvertisement.

    Great time

by Joe on 4/11/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

Years ago we would go to the Cleveland Agora and watch him. He was terrific. This show brought back a lot of great memories. He still has IT. Looking forward to his next show hopefully for years to come.

    Great Entertainment!

by Deanna on 4/11/23House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

It's been years since I saw Fayrewether but it seemed like yesterday. So many great, well-done, songs - Genesis, Jethro Tull, Bowie, along with the band's originals - and Paul's creative costuming and theatrics made for a totally entertaining evening. The excitable audience simply added to the atmosphere - great night!

Been enjoying the band since the late 70s and early 80s at the Sahara Club. Still a great show. Great music

The show was good, howevr getting into the venue was a mess

by Ampersand on 3/29/22House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

The doors did not open at 7 and there were many people waiti g outside in the cold. Once in the lobby they were taking up time asking people if they wanted bracelets to drink and providing re-entry hand stamps that also took up too much time and left many in the cold. The crowd was mostly 50 and older with few acceptions including what appeared to be an 8 year old girl who was likely the grandchild of one of the band members. Once in the venue the process of getting a drink was also difficult as the bar looked understaffed.

Loved the show - especially the Genesis - would have loved a few more Jethro Tull songs - I love it when Paul plays the flute

    New but not improved

by Jake on 3/29/22House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

I understand the need for musicians to change creatively but bought tickets to this show to see the Fayreweather of old. Unfortunately that was not the case with very few of the oldies but goodies performed and the new tracks were not my taste. The sound quality was an issue too with screechinf feedback intermittently.
