Singer and actress Patti LuPone’s career in Broadway and Hollywood spans four decades. She is a multiple GRAMMY® and Tony Award winner, inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2006.
Since establishing herself with a Tony Award-winning performance as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita, she has impressed audiences and critics alike in Les Miserables, Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd and Gypsy (for which she won another Tony Award in 2008).
In Don’t Monkey with Broadway, Patti LuPone explores, through indelible interpretations of classic Broadway show tunes by the likes of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Jule Styne, Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin, how her life-long love affair with Broadway began and her concern for what Manhattan’s Theatre District - the Great White Way - is becoming today.
Few performers show the kind of dedication and commitment to their material, and to connecting with their audience, as this GRAMMY® and Tony Award-winning star. It’s little exaggeration to state that LuPone has outdone herself with her new show, which debuted in New York to raucous cheers.
Patti’s show was excellent. She is very personable & lots of fun. She sang songs from her shows & songs that played a role in her life. Highly recommend her show. Would love to hear Sutton Foster and Linda Eder in the future.
Patti Lupone's new show, "A Life in Notes"consists of songs that shaped her childhood and career. It's and eclectic mix of old favorite covers, and of course, the Broadway songs that made her a legend! Entertaining from start to finish, she seemed completely engaged with the audience in Houston. I hope she comes back soon!

This was a night of magic and fabulousness! Patti LuPone sang so many favorites - some of which I'd waited decades to finally hear in person!! What a fabulous night!!!
Been a fan of Patti's for 4 decades. The song selection was perfect. The performance was excellent. The house sound system/mix was not up to the rapid fire word count of the Sondheim lyrics.
I gave these tickets to my son for Christmas. Patti grew up in my home town and went to my high school. I also drove by her house seeing the name LuPone on the mailbox. When she talked about her journey it was such a great connection for me and my son to see. She was absolutely fabulous. She connected to the audience. The venue is great. Nice and small, making it an even better experience.

Patti LuPone is just a wonderful performer. She endears herself to the audience from the outset. Her song selection was fabulous with some great well known broadway tunes and some wonderful lesser known ones. She has a magnificent voice and is a joy to listen to her. This was an exceptional concert.
Everything about the evening was perfect. I received the tickets as a Christmas present and couldn’t as for a more perfect evening.
The woman can make Happy Birthday sound like a symphony. Her voice, her presence, her ability to memorize all those words and sing them with feeling and rapidity and throw that Vodka Stinger with a look on her face...she was beyond fabulous.
