A great night at the Bowl.

    by TheMusicGuy22 on 6/23/11Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Wonderful show. Great entertainment. It was nice to see the children's orchestra and both Gloria Estefan and Harry Connick Jr were really good. The weather cleared up and was perfect for the night. Fireworks were great, too.

Harry Connick Jr. was magnificent! Great voice! Great songs! Great stage presence! He was so personable and engaged the audience throughout the concert. Gloria Estaban was icing on the cake. Thanks for continuing to bring great entertainment to the Hollywood Bowl at affordable prices.

    Great Night of Entertainment

by Debabo on 6/20/11Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

I didn't realize when I bought these tickets that the two headline performers were being inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. This was an added bonus. Dame Helen Mirren hosted the evening, which started out with a number by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Next came a special appearance by Cirque du Soleil, which delighted the audience and left us agasp. Harry Connick Jr. was then introduced by Hilary Swank and his performance was top notch. I could have listened to him croon all night! He has such a great sense of humor and he's so humble. He even danced! Next came a performance from a high school orchestra which directly benefits from the Bowl's music in education programs. After that Gloria Estefan was introduced by Andy Garcia, who performed on the bongos with her in a couple of numbers. Her voice is still as smooth as silk. She performed several of her hits, along with a Spanish number. She got the crowd up off their feet and dancing in the stands! The last song of the evening was a duet performed by Connick Jr. and Estefan, which was a huge treat. All this star power was finished off with a dazzling fireworks show set to music. What a great way to spend an evening! We had an amazing time!

    very disappointed

by ginko on 6/20/11Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Harry connick singing style was boring and he does not have the skill to make connection with the audience. Gloria estefan should retired.

    Hollywood Bowl always wonderful

by SalinLA on 6/20/11Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Opening night at Hollywood Bowl was wonderful. Very enjoyable to hear both Harry Connick Jr. and Gloria Estefan perform. I even got up and danced through some of Gloria's songs. There was a very good balance having the orchestra perform, preview of Cirque du Soliel, a youth orchestra, and then the two main singers, and fire works at the end. Never a dull moment, perfect mix to keep everyone's interest and energy level high.

This performance was not as advertised

by Anonymous on 6/20/11Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

Ticketmaster advertised this as a Gloria Estefan concert. Instead, it was a induction of Gloria and Henry Connick Jr. into the Hollywood Bowl hall of fame. Gloria sang only 3 of her songs.
