via NJ Turnpike North
Follow NJ Turnpike North to Exit 15W (Newark/The Oranges). After toll booth follow Route 280 West to Exit 15A (Route 21 - Downtown/Arts). On the exit ramp, bear left going under Route 280 and, at bottom of ramp (traffic light), make a right onto Route 21 South (McCarter Highway). Follow Route 21 South to Center Street, make a right onto Center Street.

Follow Garden State Parkway North to Exit 145 (Route 280). Follow Route 280 East to Exit 15 (Route 21 - Downtown/Arts). At bottom of ramp (traffic light), make a right onto Route 21 South, (McCarter Highway). Follow Route 21 South to Center Street, make a right onto Center Street.

From George Washington Bridge or Lincoln Tunnel, follow signs to NJ Turnpike South. Take NJ Turnpike South to Exit 15W. From Holland Tunnel, follow signs to NJ Turnpike North. Take NJ Turnpike North to Exit 15W. Follow directions from Exit 15W above.

FROM THE WEST
via Route 280
Follow Route 280 East to Exit 15 (Route 21 South - Downtown/Arts). At bottom of ramp (traffic light), make a right onto Route 21 South (McCarter Highway). Follow Route 21 South to Center Street, make a right onto Center Street.

via Route 78
Follow Route 78 East to Exit 57 (Newark, Downtown/Arts). Stay to the right and follow signs to Route 21 North (McCarter Highway). You will travel across the viaduct into downtown Newark. Stay in the left three lanes and travel onto Route 21 North (McCarter Highway). Follow Route 21 North to Center Street, make a left onto Center Street. If you miss this turn, continue on Route 21 North to the Lombardy Street jughandle, then make the u-turn back to Route 21 South until you reach Center Street. Make a right onto Center Street.


Parking

Parking is available in three secure surface lots and the Military Park garage, all located across the street from or adjacent to NJPAC. The cost is $16 or $17, depending on location.

Public Transportation
NJ Transit Rail:
NJPAC is easily accessible via NJ Transit Rail from all NJ Transit Rail locations in New Jersey and from New York's Penn Station. Take NJ Transit to either Newark's Penn Station or Newarks' Broad Street Station. From there, one can than take Newark Light Rail to the NJPAC/Center Street stop, which is the first stop after leaving Newarks' Penn Station and the second stop leaving from Broad Street Station.

PATH Service from New York and from PATH Stations in NJ offers an alternative rail connection to Newarks's Penn Station. Visit panynj.gov/path for schedules and fares.

Box Office Hours

For NJPAC Performances, the Box Office is open 12 Noon to 6pm Tuesday through Saturday and 12 noon to 5pm on Sunday. The Box Office is closed on Monday.

Day of Event: On Performance evenings and matinee days, the box office remains open until end of first intermission or when there is no intermission, until one half hour after the start of the performance.

Will call is located at the box office. Will call is open whenever the box office is open. (When VIP package tickets are offered, these may available at will call only on the day of the performance.)

Accessible Seating

NJPAC is accessible to persons with disabilities. Persons with disabilities are advised to contact NJPAC Ticket Services at 1-888-GO-NJPAC (1-888-466-5722) before making their ticket purchase. Ticket Services staff are prepared with assisting them with seating. Persons with hearing disabilities should call NJ Telephone Relay Services at 711 for assistance with connecting with our ticket services staff.

- Registered service animals assisting persons with disabilities are permitted in the theater.

- Sennheiser listening (infrared) devices are available in the lobby of the theater. An usher can assist patrons who require these devices. Patrons will be asked to leave a driver's license or credit card as collateral.

General Rules

Cameras and audio recording devices are not permitted in the theater. The taking of video and pictures, especially flash photos, is disruptive and inconsiderate to both the artist and other members of the audience. Just as importantly, the visual and audio performances of the artist are in most cases protected under both US and international copyright laws. The arts center has the right to confiscate all recording devices

Backpacks, suitcases, bags (not handbags) may not be taken into the theaters, but must instead be left at coat check, or when coat check is not open, with house management. Items may be checked free of charge. NJPAC reserves the right to inspect backpacks, suitcases, aand bags when being checked. In some instances, NJPAC may require the inspection of all handbags and cases at point of entry to the theater lobbies. Persons with diaper bags entering the theater are subject to search at the discretion of security.

Children Rules

NJPAC recommends that children younger than 5 years of age not attend adult performances. Both NJPAC and the NJSO have programs specifically designed for young children. Please call each organization for information.

All persons entering the theater, including babes in arms, must have a ticket.

Any child under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Miscellaneous

There is no dress code for events at NJPAC unless specifically noted. Attire can range from business casual to jeans, T-shirts and sneakers. The soles of your feet must be covered at all times.

Tickets are valid only for the event, date, time and seat indicated. Tickets purchased over the phone and on the web are subject to handling charges. In some instances, tickets purchased with a credit card at the box office may also be subject to fees . Tickets are not refundable unless the performance is canceled by NJPAC. Each person entering the theater must have a valid ticket including babes in arms. Patrons not in their seat at the start of / or exit a performance may be subject to a delayed admission. In some instances, delayed admission seating may not take place until intermission. Late seating times are established by each artist working with our house management staff. Artists, dates, times, venues and programs are subject to change. The use of audio and video recording devices of all types and the taking of still photos are not permitted inside the theater and during performances. Such activity may be a violation of copyright laws. As a courtesy to both the artists and other audience members, please silence cell phones and messaging devices and refrain from electronic communication during performances. Food is not permitted inside the theater. Beverages may be permitted for certain performances. NJPAC recommends that children under the age of five not attend adult performances. Management reserves the right to remove individuals creating a disturbance without compensation for tickets paid.
