Neutral Uke Hotel does a great job of bringing In the Aeroplane Over the Sea to the audience in a manner which neither mimics nor betrays Jeff Mangum's inimitable style. I will definitely see them again the next time they're playing in Boston!

by DeanD on 4/22/11Brighton Music Hall - BostonAs a fan of Neutral Milk Hotel, being able to see Neutral Uke Hotel cover ITAOTS was amazing. The ukulele aspect was just another piece that made this show unforgettable. Neutral Uke Hotel also encourages fans to sing along (as if we weren't going to anyway). The Allston (Boston) show was sold out and the reasons I have listed above are exactly why this happened. The openers (Golden Bloom and Michael J. Epstein Memorial Library) were great were both great. Both provided their own unique music and audience interaction which is always nice.
