I paid quite a bit extra for lower bowl seats on the sides of the court. There was NOBODY checking tickets or ushering people to their paid section. So not only was our area busier, but it was overflowing as people stood in the aisles going up the stairs. Again, NOBODY told them they couldn't stand there, and so many who were in seats had obstructed views because of this unregulated crowd. The Boston player's wives repeatedly tried to get the crowd to leave as they pushed up against their "reserved area" seats, causing their little children to cry and feel uneasy.
Once the East Teams finished practice, the Boston families left and told the ushers how crazy the crowd is standing in the aisles and how frustrating it was to have them there for their families and all of us in the GA section by them. The usher said she would make sure it didn't happen for the West Team's families. Of course, no one ever came back to monitor the crowd in the aisles.
At the end of the event, I could have paid a lot less and sat in the same seats, unbothered by the overflowing crowd in the aisle. Super disappointed with the organization and follow-through for this event.
