    Wrong Venue

by MoPat on 11/29/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

Mummenschanz is delightful, but only if an audience member can SEE them on stage. A lot of the action is close to the ground, and the Madison Aud is frustratingly not designed to let anyone see that part of the stage unless you're in thew first few rows. The players spent time interacting with those lucky audience members. The rest of us craned our necks trying to see much of the performance, and the kids were the ones who lost out. I last saw the group in a small, intimate theater in Chicago. It was a far better experience than this one--and less expensive, too.

    Wonderful!

by Mindy Kay on 11/24/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

The performers were amazing. The emotion, feelings, and humor they can convey without speaking, when we can’t even see their faces, is extraordinary. The show is funny and clever and good fun for the entire family. I have loved Mummenschanz for years, it was wonderful seeing them perform again.

    Great Show - Disappointing Views

by David S R on 11/23/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

The place is absolutely beautiful. The slope of the seating was disappointing. A great deal of the show was on the floor of the stage. From the back you just couldn't see it at all. The show was mesmerizing. It moved from skit to skit with amazing skill and speed. I just don't think that I'd return to the theatre for any other production. Very unhappy with the design of the interior space.

The artistry is consistently full of surprises

by Good but… on 11/23/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

Lots of fun and amazing to experience every kind of emotion without the use of words, especially when you realize that it’s objects, not people, that impart those human characteristics. The more entertaining skits were interactive with the audience and perhaps should be more of those to better engage younger audiences. However, seating in this theatre for decent viewing is challenging. The angle and rake is more suited to a school auditorium than theater. Still, lots of fun.

Mummenschanz performance was captivating and enthralling.

by Dee Jay on 11/23/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

The performance was fantastic. The venue not so great. Nice available parking, but the theatre was just a bit dumpy. Looks and feels like a sterile drab high school auditorium. Then there's the excruciating rip off of $4 for a small bottle of water. I seriously doubt I'll ever return to any show at this facility.

    Charming Afternoon

by EVILRA8 on 11/23/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

I was a first time visitor at Madison Arts Center; it was an easy venue to navigate. The show it’s self was thoroughly entertaining. You’re submerged into a quirky, innocent, light, world; it was refreshing, I left smiling. The venue doesn’t have a lot of elevation so you couldn’t see clearly what was happening at the front of the stage. I would still go there again.

    Fun!

by Elizabeth on 11/21/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

Lovely venue, easy parking. The show was just like I remembered and so I really enjoyed it. But it was more of a blast from the past than anything else.

    Not The Same

by AZLIZARD on 11/21/22Madison Center for the Arts - Phoenix

We were pretty disappointed either the performance. We expected more of a show from the old days. The hands were good. We liked the fish. The clay face stretching got old. Don’t spend a lot to sit close. It’s not worth it.

    Enjoyed every minute

by Amy on 11/6/22Chrysler Hall - Norfolk

I loved seeing their skits on The Muppets when I was a kid. Everytime I mentioned them, no one ever knew what I was talking about. Imagine my surprise when I drove past the show marquee outside of the Scope and saw their name pop up! I had no idea they were still around, but I bought tickets right that moment. The show was an incredible experience! I hope I see them again one day
