Moku O Keawe Competition and Hula Festival

by scubagranny on 11/3/12Waikoloa Bowl at Queens' Gardens - Waikoloa

GREAT!!!! The talent was from all over the world and they are fantastic hula dancers. The venue was spectacular. Wish the MC had not been a live commercial for the sponsors, the festival, the market, and the tshirts so often and so long. There was 10-15 minutes between dance numbers and a 30 minute intermission making the show with 11 dance numbers last 4 hours. A bit long.

Great Venue for an Amazing Night

by Walter60 on 11/8/10Waikoloa Bowl at Queens' Gardens - Waikoloa

The Waikoloa Bowl was a perfect outdoor setting for this wonderful cultural event. The sunset was positioned right behind the stage and put on it's own great show. It was wonderful to see the Hawaiian culture embraced and the practices kept alive today by these halaus from many different nations.
