    View was blocked

by Jane S. on 1/18/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

The stage view was blocked by the sound/camera set up in the middle of the floor.

    Very disappointed!

by 4Bs on 1/18/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Overall, it was so disorganized!!! There were no available ushers to direct us to our seats. We have to look for our section numbers which were not easily visible unless you look down because they were placed on the floors. The show was about start but people are still coming in and not on their seats yet. Then everyone started to stand and wave their flags blocking our views from the back. That's how our evening went, we were not able to watch the whole show without standing up and most of the time the tv monitors are not showing anything. If I have the option, I will rate it zero star.

    Not a great experience.

by JLC on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Very unorganized, the seating was horrible. No direction , staff was not helpful. The show was great, but as part of the audience I give 1 star. By the time the doors opened to be seated the show had already started. Been to 3 Miss Universe events they were great, New Orleans was by far the worst.

Overpriced Tickets W/ Terrible Seat Location

by Overpriced Ticket on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

The experience at Miss Universe was amazing but i paid an $1800 Section 8 Row 1 ticket and it was heartbreaking, especially when i asked the people next to me how much they paid for the tickets and they said they only paid 200 bucks. I felt so scammed, duped and betrayed by Ticketmasters! When I bought the ticket I thought i was front row but as soon as i arrive there i was placed on the the side of the stage, although i was in row 1, it was very difficult to enjoy the show because all the contestants were facing backwards. I learned a very hard lesson and i will never again buy tickets from ticketmaster. No one should be allowed to sell tickets for 1800 bucks when others only paid 200 bucks. Whoever is allowing these practices are such horrible humans!!!

    Most Non Organized Event, EVER!

by Universe on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Felt like I was in a 90’s rock concert. Free for all. No matter the price you paid for tickets. People three to one seat. No one checking stubs. No Security. Sad to be in New Orleans with such poor execution.

Unorganized and STAFF LOVES TO YELL AT EVERYONE

by Hammy on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Doors opened early, which were great, however after scanning my ticket, I expected someone to direct me which direction to go for seating. The only way I figured where to sit was a guy yelling at my group to find my seats. I told him we didn’t know which direction to go and he told us to follow him. The guy (worker) walked so fast we lost him in the crowd. During the pageant, people were standing on chairs for nearly 2 hours, which I found it hard to see the show. Later on staff started coming around yelling at them to not stand on the chairs. At the end of the show as we were waiting in the lobby area for our Uber, one of the staff came up and yelled us, in our face, we cannot be inside anymore. We told the staff we are waiting for our ride and will be here soon. She proceeded to yell, which my dad yelled back saying you don’t have to yell but talk normally. I would never come back here with such untrained staff who ONLY KNOWS HOW TO YELL AT PEOPLE.

The Show was Good the Organization REALLY BAD

by Levargas117 on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

The doors were opened like 10 minutes before the show, there were not enough users helping people find their seats, were were yelled at to just sit where ever we could, people that paid $100 dollar tickets ended up sitting at the $500 dollar ticket section. Awful organization, and logistics.

    Disorganized Entry

by Unhappy customer on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

We were there 6pm in a long line for a 7pm start show. Travelled all the way from other state to see the show, but the entry process was horrible because the show has started before they managed to have all the guests come in, and then suddenly when they became less strict with entrance, people piled up to the other entrance because they closed the door because the show has started, very unfair!!!! Theh should have expected the number of attendees to accommodate considering that guests were there on time and in long line. Not cool at all.

    Good show, venue needs improvement

by JustJen8 on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

The convention center did their best to accommodate everyone but there are some areas for improvement. 1. Floor seating was not the best choice. 2. They did not have enough people scanning tickets at the door. 3. The event called for vaccination cards but did not check for them.

    Beautifully Prepared contestants

by O. R. on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Most seats were on the floor of the convention centre. A flat-floor seating arrangement is not at all good for this prestigious event, and it seems like everything about it was low-rated in many of the attendees this year. Several times throughout the event that aisles were filled with people from the back of the very-long seating areas. Aisle security people were either nonexistant or simply not trained to deal with this sutiation, which is expected, but never to the degree we saw this time. Truly dismal for such expensive price seats up front.

    Blocked view

by Third on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

As to where we are seated, we are not able to have a full view of the stage due to the control area that is placed in the middle of the venue. There were also issues with the safety as the passage ways were not well lighted and some of the cords were just lying on the floor. As a matter of fact, there was a photographer who tripped and had a fall due to those cords.

    Terribly organized Worst event ever.

by Sandy on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

1- Not enough employees checking tickets for amount of people coming in. 2- rows and seats poorly marked 3-cheap seats all crumpet together with no space, sitting like sardines. 4- not enough light and time for people stuck at entrance to get to seats. 5-I was at the front row 107 row 10 and couldn’t see almost anything of the show, due to people standing on the halls / corridors looking for their seats .. as late 2 hours into the show !!! 6- people standing on seats and fighting amongs them due to the desorganización . A nightmare !!!! 7-Employees inside were insulted, pushed and had a very hard time seating people. 8- Seats should have been like theaters but wanting to make more money the most expensive seats like mine were on flat floor . Terrible . I have been to Miss Universe contest in Las Vegas and Miami and this one in New Orleans felt like it was held in a 3rd world county .I paid for expensive tickets right up front and could not see anything most of the time . Had to look up to the TV . Horrible expensive experience . Shameful !!! Everybody around me complaint too and were VERY DISAPPOINTED. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Miss Universe under the new owner is a farce

by darule on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

The venue though spacious, may not have been big enough to accommodate those came out. What was the point of bringing proof of vaccination when no one even asked for it. The top 16 was a joke, way too many underserving delegates made the 1st cut and there was a mass exodus after they announced the 16 semi-finalists and rightfully so. USA did not deserve to win and that gentleman's speech was quite disturbing. With that said, I will never attend another Miss Universe contest. There's no transparency.

    A totally 2 stars ⭐️

by Oscar on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Starting with the place they picked to celebrate the final show it was dark and uncomfortable The logistic and organization was terrible The people from the bar were so slow and kindles They should not choose a flat place for this type of event. You could not see to the stage if you were sitting in the back. We were very disappointed with my friends and also the people around us felt the same way

    Venue issues

by Nanny on 1/17/23New Orleans Convention Center - New Orleans

Getting in the venue was the worst . We got there at 5:30 and line was horrible at the Venue. People cut the line , tickets were not checked. People got in free and sat on laps of others for FREE . We had 4 minutes to get to our seats. The doors should have opened earlier with more people to check you in at the door and check bags as well. No one was checked and the check point stayed RED . The worst check in process EVER at any event . The Venue was way too small for the event here in the City.
