Mike Britt: Talented Comic
by lmg315 on 8/1/13Mohegan Sun Cabaret - UncasvilleMy husband and I had never been to a comedy show at Mohegan and were not too familiar with Mike Britt. So I'm sharing our unbiased opinions. We enjoyed the whole show, even the MC and the opening comic. And I should say here that we were not drunk or high at the time. Mike Britt's jokes were not too edgy and perhaps tailored to appease the audience of Mohegan gamblers. Even the jokes that touched on race were pretty tame. For instance, at one point he asked a man in the audience to name two black friends that he had. The man named one and hesitated on the second, to which Mike Britt added "and no one." While his questions put you on edge, he made you laugh. I thought he connected well with audience members, both young and old. I really liked his renditions of "Someone Like You" by Adele, "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson, and "House Is Not a Home" by Luther Vandross. He can sing well and be funny at the same time. I would definitely recommend Mike Britt and The Cabaret Theatre.
