Performers were all fairly good, but as usual , they stand behind the sound system and keep thinking it should be turned up.
Folks at the top of the knoll out from under the stage canopy at least 200 feet away and outside were still overwhelmed by the sound. At one point, the performs asked to have the sound turned up even louder. At that point there was "feed back" , but they just kept going.
Myself and my friend, couldn't take it directly in front of the stage even outside, so we sat to one side. You could still feel the "base" hitting you in the chest.
We had to leave after just an hour or so because of this. Too bad because we do like Tejano music. I guess we will just have to watch/listen on TV/radio where we can enjoy music at a comfortable level .
To be fair, this happens at far too many concerts. In most cases, for us anyway, it actually detracts from the performers talent .
I realize this is just our opinion but I cannot believe we are alone in this.
I do however feel this is a good event to have every year for Hispanic music lovers in general. We will probably give it another try.
