    Close up and personal

While this may not have been the best play we have seen it was in no way due to the performances of the cast. The cast did an exceptional job interpreting these 60's characters (most of the cast would have to read about the 60's). I think the issue for me was that, with the exception of "I believe in You", the music was unfamiliar and not particularly memorable. Having said that, I would recommend the play as a fun look back at 60's culture. I do love that The Marriott Theater is such an intimate setting with not a bad seat in the house.

Stuck in 1960's - Gender Stereotypes,

by TheaterFan76 on 9/27/16Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire - Lincolnshire

As successful working parents, my husband and I were disgusted by the underlying premise of the story. There was no attempt to modernize the script to make it relevant to today's business world or male/female dynamics. We walked out at intermission. That said, we probably weren't the target market for this play since we were clearly the youngest in the crowd (at age 40). 3 people were sleeping within the first 3 rows. The theater itself has been redone and is laid out well so that everyone has a great view and is near the action

We both loved the show. It was very funny. We would see it again.

Excellent cast of a fifty year old show. Can you imagine going to a 1916 show in 1966 and expecting it to be up to date?

    Upbeat and Fun!

by HopeHarcourt on 9/11/16Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire - Lincolnshire

This production is a quick paced version of a favorite musical. Some of the supporting performances didn't have the needed energy and comic skills needed, but the two leads are performed well. Some of the choreography is innovative with the Cinderella dance being a great staging!

    Pointless

by MikeG61 on 9/6/16Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire - Lincolnshire

This play was all about dumb clichés. Men gawk at women. Women try to marry up. Powerful men cheat. Politeness helps. Also the music was forgettable. The only nice thing I can say is that the actors worked hard. It would take talent to sing or to dance or to have persuasive facial expressions. This gang did all three concurrently. Pity all that talent and effort was wasted on such an inane play.
