Mark Wood's Parrot Head Band gave a great show!

by ChixMama on 8/17/11OC Fair & Event Center - Costa Mesa

I am not a big Jimmy Buffet fan but my daughter who has been to several show is, and she wanted me to join her. I loved the music live - the band had a great sound with a unique mix of instruments and put on a very entertaining show. I enjoyed watching the backup singers as they seemed to be having such a genuinely good time as did the audience, many of whom formed a line to bunny-hop around the arena. My daughter admitted that most people would not be able to tell that this was not Jimmy Buffet and his band. I would definitely see Mark Wood and his band again.

Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band Rocks OC

by PhinsUp on 8/16/11OC Fair & Event Center - Costa Mesa

MWPHB hit the high notes and did an outstanding job on some more obscure tunes that hit the mark (Everybody has a cousin in Miami, Tampico Trauma). Good energy from the band throughout the set and a pretty decent crowd. Only beef is with the ticketing process and persons who bought tickets on Saturday before the show got front row seats while those who bought months in advance were 4+ rows back.
